Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing.
Superb location. I don't think you can beat this hotel for proximity to the Charles Bridge, tram stops, the key attractions, and great places to eat. And away from the stag dos and raucous drinking. The room was well appointed, spacious. A little bit of noise from the street at night but not as bad as I was expecting given the proximity to the action, and I'm very noise sensitive. The breakfast selection was great, and the reception staff helpful, especially at night.

Best location in Prague in my preferred neighborhood "The lesser side" . 2 minutes from Karel's Bridge. Although on the main street, very quiet.

CanadaThe room is a little echoey and the old doors and furniture make a bit of noise
The room was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful historic vibe. The location is amazing and close for walking tours or for getting on the streetcar. Each staff member at the Charles was extremely helpful and polite. I would certainly stay here again!

The location is probably the best in Prague, being at the start of Charles Bridge. The hotel was absolutely spotless and the room was up to the same standard. Well done to the housekeepers. Breakfast was excellent with multiple choices.

SwedenThe breakfast item was quite limited with three hot dishes which were quite bland and the juices from the machine tasted water rather than juice. Would have been better if there were more breakfast pastries and fresh juice (tasty orange juice ) The power outlet to the bed which was quite far behind the bed to charge my phone. Would have been better, if there was an outlet or extension closer to the bed where you could charge your phone and other electronic devices. Remember to carry long cable to charge your phone.
I arrived at the hotel at 22;00. I got the non-smoking room on the highest floor which I requested when I made the reservation. I was placed on the 4th floor in a huge room with separate toilets and a separate huge bathroom. I like the fact that the hotel is very close to all the attractions and the bus stop was about 3 to 5 minutes from the hotel. All the staff were nice and welcoming, especially the breakfast attendant name Aung was super nice and welcoming as well as both the night and morning receptionist. I was able to extend my checkout time up to 13;00 and kept my luggage at the hotel for free. Thank you so much and will look forward to staying at your hotel again on my next visit to prague.

United StatesThe coffee cups in the room are too small to hold the coffee and not knowing that, the cups would overflow and spill on to the counter and the floor. There is a nightclub right next door and there is activity until 2am and possibly later. Depending on where your room is, the noise could either keep you awake or wake you up. Earplugs helped nicely. The elevator is very small and does not go to the 4th floor.
The room was wonderful. There was a lot of space and there were frescos painted on our walls. We were there during Easter and the staff left different gifts on our bed each night. It was very charming and the breakfast was excellent!

FinlandAir conditioning worked, but i could be more efficient. It was silence which was positive.
Breakfast was very good. Cappuccino from the coffee machine was tasty and the setting was generally good enough. Atmosphere was guiet, nice music and very beautiful decoration increased satisfaction. Location was excellent near Bridge Karlov. Room was more than we expected. Large and very high bedroom was beautiful and again, decoration was nice. Bathroom was big enough, water pressure was normal and a little detail, there was Rituals products. The street below was full of people all the time, but the noise was not heard in the room.

United KingdomThe only thing to note is that there is a club downstairs, so it can get noisy in the evening, but there's nothing the hotel can do about that. We had our 6 year old with us and she slept just fine, so it's not too bad.
The location of this hotel is amazing. We love this area. The room was absolutely stunning, huge, and spotlessly clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldn't recommend this place enough. The breakfast is lovely. Lots of choice and everything is very fresh.
