Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsWhen you want to explore the north western part of the island, you might prefer another location so you don't need to cross Willemstad every time. Prices are a little on the high side.
Very nice hotel with great private beach and lot of restaurants / bars in the area.

CanadaClean up of the room was not done the first day. I asked at the end of the day towels change and the staff provided promptly
I loved the proximity of the beach (I had a sea view room) and the resort small with everything easily accessible. Staff very friendly and willing to help. The Saturday music was lovely and so much fun .

Hotel right on the beautiful beach, many restaurants either inside the hôtel or just next to it. 3 different pools which was nice for children. Shuttle (free!) to Willemstadt and to the supermarket which was much appreciated. Fully equipped kitchen in our apartment

United StatesWe got a ground floor room and weren’t able to change to a higher floor because they were full, so the ocean view was pretty obstructed (not sure how much better it is from the 2nd floor) The room also didn’t look as good as the photos but wasn’t bad. The pillows were square, big and lumpy so side sleeping was the only doable option with them and I was looking forward to being free of them as soon as possible. The biggest issue was the noise. There is zero sound proofing so everyone passing in front of our door which was a walkway to get to the rest of the resort, was heard loud and clear. footsteps and conversations. On the balcony side, there was really loud music on our second night coming from one of the restaurants and when we called at almost 11pm to complain, the reception said nothing could be done and it would stop at 11. it went past that and we had to put in earplugs to be able to fall asleep so we don’t know when it eventually stopped.
It was lovely to have direct beach access and a beach front restaurant where we ate a couple of times. The beach is gorgeous as well. (The photo I’ve added was taken at the beach front restaurant) Check in was smooth when we arrived at night and staff was generally courteous. proximity to Willemstad is good if you rent a car. And the hotel is right near Mood beach which is great for a nice dinner (though rather expensive) and a night out later. We were lucky to get parking the few times we headed out and back but I can see it possibly being a nightmare on weekends and at night because there aren’t as many parking spaces as you’d expect for the resort size.

United StatesWish we could have used the shuttle downtown. We had a bit of miscommunication there. The blanket was a little heavy in the room. We would have appreciated a sheet alternative.
The beach was perfect for snorkeling and safe for all swim levels. Lots of shade and access to food vendors as well as resort restaurants. Easy and convenient. Our room was perfectly located -steps from the beach.

United StatesThe restaurants on-site were convenient but just okay in terms of food. I felt like they were trying to offer what tourists expected in terms of variety instead of specializing. There was extremely limited access to anything like a convenience store and NOTHING is open before 7:00, making it hard to get to early adventures on time and fed. I would have brought snacky type breakfast stuff or opted for the room add-on to have groceries delivered if I had known. I left margin in our plans for spontaneity, but things were pretty booked at the resort and other places nearby by the time we got there. While I usually over plan and wish there was more time to see what's fun when I arrive, I would recommend planning in advance here.
Compared to other tourist destinations, Curaçao seemed distinctly non-exploitative. Our servers, tour operators, and taxi drivers were all well educated and comfortable - they mentioned being able to take their own vacations. As an emerging tourist economy moving away from oil, everyone gave the impression they appreciated rather than resented a tourist presence. At LionsDive, the focus on sustainability was cool. From reusables to discouraging waste to solar power to complimentary reef safe sunscreen, it was cool to see them leaning into what it takes to preserve the island. They had a green key certification and everything! Location near the aquarium and shops/restaurants were nice, plus the dive shop on-site. We also felt that the included nature hike/snorkel was a great added value. We also enjoyed the massage from the spa, but it felt a bit pricey.

CanadaI have no significant complaints about the hotel. Towel replacement was not totally consistent, although the rest of the room cleaning was fine. The restaurants at the hotel were ok, but kinda middle of the road. Didn't have much when we wanted a really nice meal, nor a really simple one. Beer selection was lager, lager or lager. Restaurants along Mambo beach gave a bit more variety, but there were some much nicer ones in the Pietermaai area (less than 10 min drive). The Punda area was really touristy.
Location was great. Nice beach, with a breakwater and some fish to see when snorkeling. 15 min drive to Tugboat Beach which had amazing snorkeling - that was a highlight. Lots of shops/restaurants on Mambo Beach next to hotel. Hotel doesn't currently have a gym, but gave passes to an actual gym located along the Mambo Beach shops, so that is better than usual. Everything was well maintained. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly.

CanadaTowels service and clean up could have been better. We often found that our rooms weren’t clean at the end of the day until dinner time and there was a couple of days where we didn’t have towels in our room at all. Willemstad was a a nice day visit but VERY touristy, especially if you are there at the same time as the cruises. The shuttle drops you off from 9-1 but we didn’t find we needed that long so we took a taxi back. It is very safe.
Everything was wonderful— the beach, the pools, the views, the food. It is a great spot for little kids too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants in the area were all tasty and the shuttles to the supermarket or to Willemstad were very convenient. We even participated in the beach boot camp which was awesome!! We loved that the aquarium was right beside the property too! One of the highlights for the kids.

United StatesI loved this resort. I could easily spend a few weeks there if everything wasn't so expensive. Euro pillows were very plump, giving me a stiff neck. Lack of outdoor sand removal foot washes made not bringing some sand into the room impossible.
Restaurants where you can eat /drink with your feet in the sand are wonderful! Omelets, grilled cheese, and fruit bowls are available after 9am for half of the buffet breakfast price. Protected beach is fantastic, with okay snorkeling, but water shoes are helpful due to coral. Beach is close to beachfront rooms. Shelters and palm trees helped shade, when necessary. Free transportation to Willemstad in the morning to visit museums, stores, restaurants, and attractions.
