The room leaves something to be desired. There was not always hot water available, when taking a shower it wets the entire bathroom as there is no shower closure and the sink was partially blocked, leaking coffee machine, some items described on booking.com were not available in the room and the double bed was actually two single beds coupled together.

The outside of the room hotel is wonderful. Incredible view, beautiful gardens, beautiful and pleasant swimming pools, excellent beach with infrastructure. Good staff and reception. Air conditioning works very well and was already on when we arrived.

I would have given Kontiki a higher score however, there is one problem. At least two nights a week there is a dance party on the beach that goes to 1 AM with ear splitting bass thumping. Kontiki is not reasonable for the noise but it permeates all the rooms. The food at the hotel is pricey but that is common all over the island

Unfortunately the swimming pool got green water in the last days of our holidays, so we didn’t use the pool those days. The airco was a very big set up for the room, so it wasn’t easy to control while being in the room. It was loud and not able to create a soft air flow, which was directed right on the bed. The parties on the beachside are quite present, so better bring earplugs.

The location at the Beach was wonderful, the breakfast was well prepared and tasteful. We really liked the gym next door which was also available for the hotel guests to use, they have very nice classes and nice facilities.

We needed to ask for hand towels and bath towels on more than occasion. We got a beach towel that had tears in it on two separate occasions. They cleaned the room and did not replenish the toilet paper. In the bathroom there was dust all along the windows and the corners of the bathtub. The bathroom door kept opening by itself after we closed it.

The location was beautiful and the landscaping was stunning! The pool outside our room was magnificent. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The resort was safe. The beaches were clean and there was ample parking.

The staff was excellent, the place was very nice and clean. Close to places of interest. On the beach, there were gastronomic offers and a bar. The room is spacious and comfortable, with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

The isolation in the room was quite bad and we heard the neighbours talking even when they were talking in normal voice. The hotel looked super nice but as soon as you look a bit closer you see things are a bit run down and sometimes a bit dirty. The breakfast was not worth it for us since we felt they go with quantity rather than quality. The lunch on the other hand was quite nice.

We loved the forest and all the pools. The beach was really nice too and there are a lot of restaurants close by.

2 things i didn’t like. 1. There was a sewer problem stench in the bathroom that would not go away. Yuck and 2. The cleaning people “removed”/“stole” my sneakers out my room. I had them in a plastic garment bag and they weren’t in my room the next day when i tried to check out. I don’t want to accuse the cleaners of stealing but I was disappointed items were missing from my room.

The location is great. It’s near all the beach clubs and restaurants. They have pool entrances to all the rooms. And I felt safe being a solo traveler. They had security and the property is clean and well maintained.

The property is situated on an area with some sort of sewage issue, causing a foul odor to be present in some areas. The staff is aware of this but there’s not much they can do to remedy it, I believe.

Worst thing were some of the local staff (not all). For example, at breakfast they got my order wrong twice, then took ages to fix fit, or they would just ignore the table and then act upset and disrespectful. Or. . . I had a great meal at the Mambo beach restaurant one night (the one at the back) so I decided to try the one by the bar next day; as soon as I approach to ask a question, the bartender loudly starts joking about my body shape. I'm not the most politically correct person but I think if you randomly insult your would-be paying customers then you are an idiot. Please, train your staff.

The layout of cabins, pools and vegetation was very nice/relaxing, yet close to restaurants, ATMs, etc. . .

The tour guy at the reception was really unfriendly, stressed and didn‘t treat my partner in the same way like other guests of the resort. On Wednesdays there is a party at the nearby beach club, so it can get really noisy.

The party on Wednesday was quite loud, bit too commercial music. seemed well organized however but not worth it. the issue you get is conflicting corridors of sound between the bars wish we’d known ideal time to claim reservation for sunbed, they go fast but really pleasant setup when you’re in. attentive staff working at the beach

The set up of the resort is great. beautiful garden with pool. on the beach. Room is very comfortable. Compliments to all staff. everybody was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
