I would just change the toilet doors. You can see through, and I didn't have a full feel of privacy. That's an easy change.

We were traveling during the dryer season, so the surrounding area of the national park wasn't that magnificent, but the moment we stepped inside the lodge it changed into a paradise. It's such a lovely place with lovely stuff, amazing views, tasteful decoration and great food. They even prepared a small breakfast for us the night before or super early departure. Oh and the bed was very comfy too!

There wasn’t any space for parking so we were a bit nervous about the car on the side of the road. Our shower also had little to no water pressure, which was a little disappointing because we spent all day hiking. The host made up for it though.

The views were stunning and the room was spacious and comfortable. Our dinner was exceptional as well with very good recipes and ingredients.

Perfect! The best!! It was my partners birthday and I messaged them before (thinking maybe they could put a candle in their dinner or dessert) and they decorated the room with flower petals, candles and balloons, baked a birthday cake, gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco - just too too nice! Other than that act of true kindness - everything else was also perfect! Breakfast is delicious, dinner options are many (and they made other options for me as a vegetarian too). Routes of the walks in the national park pass close by the house so you can join them from there basically. The view is AMAZING! Really just the most relaxed vibe and kindest staff. 10/10 recommend.

I would say that outside of the park there is not a lot around, it is on the road from Tarrafal to Praia but at about an hour from both. So if you are not interested by the park or being remote, I wouldn’t suggest it.

The place was really nicely located, really close from the natural park which enable you to explore it quite easily. From the lodge you have a nice view and can catch the sunset and sunrise by being on the balcony of the room or the terrace of the restaurant. The room was clean and well decorated. It was also quite cozy. The food was also super good and the breakfast was worth it. You had some staples and some things you can add upon request (included) I think to reduce waste. It is quite easy to get their by aluguer.

All is well and I really spent a great time here!

Although the bathroom is out of my room, but it doesn't matter! They have 24-hour running hot water, sustainable consideration and nice service, reliable drive who picked me from and to the Praia City Center even during the midnight. The breakfast is free and delicious, especial the fruit Papaya and Cachupa! You can enjoy the mountain fresh air and beautiful sunsets when you're sitting at the lovely balcony. Hiking in this area is highly recommended! Just 15 mins walk to the main entrance of the National Park. So just go and relax in this lovely place, I do recommend Strela Mountain Lodge to everyone who want to explore this island! Thank you so much!

Water was either cold or had almost no pressure. Not sure if it was just our room, but we were only there for two days, so we made do, and we had a great time overall.

The view from our balcony was amazing! We very much enjoyed the restaurant, and the breakfast had a ton of options and was very good. The staff offered to save the remainder of the wine we had with dinner so we could have it the next day and made something special for my friend who had a stomach issue. We also booked a hiking tour that was super.

Our room was really tiny which makes manouvering difficult. Rooms are a bit noisy.

The shower was a challenge with thick longer hair to wash because there was not a lot of water. But for the rest all was good.

It is a nice little hide out in the mountains of Santiago. Nothing much to do around but with nice food friendly staff and killer caiparina’s and a beautiful view from het terras and private balcony that was not a problem at all.

The location is breathtaking and perfect for hikers who want to stay at the heart of the mountain. The view from the rooms and general areas are to die for, just like in the pictures. Overall the hotel fits quite faithfully to what is represented in the add and on the pictures, and turned out to be our favourite stay in Cabo Verde Staff is quite friendly and willing to help. Since it is quite isolated you will most likely have to depend on food from the hotel for meals, which is fine because they are very well prepared and varied.

The only perfect place for those who would like to hike Serra Malagueta park. Located around 10-minute walking distance from 3, most iconic circular trails. Amazing, warm-hearted Staff always there to help you. Very clean, gorgeous views and sunsets. Extremely delicious and big breakfast with traditional options (vegetarian) and freshly made juices from local fruits. Truly the best place I stayed at on Santiago island. Thank you! And keep going :)

Some bugs tend to crawl into the room (not their fault but should be mentioned, for people who are scared), staff could speak English a little better (translation worked of course), otherwise a perfect stay, lovely people!

Exceptional standard, clean rooms, good views, good and very rich (you can choose from the menu and it is included) breakfast, selection of dinner (best tuna filet I have had so far) for good money!! Definite recommendation! You can even pay via Revolut (no fees)

Really not much to mention here. Maybe that there is no Aircon, but since you are in the mountains it's naturally much cooler during the nights.

The staff is amazing there. Any special request, like a birthday cake or whatever will be prepared. Very fiendly and helpfull. The food is exceptional good and the value for money was one of the best we had in Santiago. Great location to start hikes in the national park.

The windows of the top suite are quite low and a bit scary for children staying in the room with the windows open… as a suggestion, a glass railing could be installed to provide more safety and still allow us to enjoy the amazing view.

The view is truly breathtaking! And the staff very friendly, Lenini made us feel welcome and was very helpful!!

It's really far from anything, so without a car there is not really anywhere else you can go for dinner or so. Also, the transfer service is not cheap.

A nice place to stay if you're going for hikes in the nature park. The room was quite pleasant and the meals were good.
