It would have been helpful to have a leaflet in the room that explains when cleaning personel is coming in, the timings of restaruant and swimming times etc.

Loved having a room with a balcony facing the pool. Enjoyed swimming in the pool. Enjoyed the roof terrace area. Great breakfast buffet with many options!

The place is good and easy to find right in the intrance of santa Maria which we know santa Maria very well been many times everything is good but room is not, may be the cleaners need more time to clean we wiil use URIL HOTEL PONTAO AGAIN we like the spot

Sometimes not enough cups/ crockery at breakfast. Next time will book a pool balcony, city balcony very dusty and loud.

Pool was really nice, room was basic but nice. Really good value hotel. Enjoyed the roof jacuzzi. Staff really lovely and helpful. Place met all my needs.

Double booking and one staff 'manager' lying and cheating, showing a different room ( no balcony) in repair. Thus he was lying as this was not the booked room. He 'offered' ( pushed - persisted) us to stay in a different hotel which we would reach by a taxi: no indication where the other hotel was located and what prive category it was. As we insisted, we got a smaller room. We only got the bigger booked room after 4 nights as we went asking ourselves while the staff 'manager' wasn't present. A new woman with a Hotel branded outfit gave us a bigger room as we had booked. Thus not trustworthy staff manager had spoiled the start of the holiday. Please note we had booked for 11 nights while most customers only stayed for 4 to 6 nights. Thus one of the best customers he wanted to spend the money in a different hotel..

The location was excellent. The swimming pool was a good size and clean. 5 to 7 mins walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The resturants nearby are good, for a good price. People and the energy are good. Would defo recommend people to come here.

Unfortunately the water and the wi-fi in the room run slowly at rush hours, but you can take it easy and wait for a while. Connection at ground floor is ok indeed

Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and cosy resting at the pool. The position is perfect, only 7 minutes walking to the pontao and the closest beaches. No stress :P

Hotel very tired looking in certain areas namely the bedrooms. Not sure what the additional cost for the superior room was for to be honest. Not enough crockery and cutlery at breakfast.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and obliging. Very chilled atmosphere. Good selection to eat at breakfast and on order.

It really needs some attention for Maintanance, my bathroom was leaking the whole time.

The location is great and very near the pier, bars and restaurants. I booked a pool side room and was good. Breakfast was fine.

I had paid for a superior room with pool view but on arrival was allocated a room with a city view and no balcony. We complained and were then allocated a room where the balcony door did not close. We complained but to no avail.

We were racially profiled by one of the staff members upon our arrival who was working the night shift. He initially wanted to move is to some place by claiming that there is no accommodation then later changed after seeing my booking confirmation, his behaviour continued throughout our stay as we extended by couple of days, quite disappointed since we have been regular customers

When we arrived the hotel was overbooked and we were moved to a nearby hotel for the first night. It was not the end of the world but it was not at the same level at our and we paid the same amount of money for the night.

In general, everything was positive. Staff was nice and helpful, good value for the price.

The gym tapis roulan didt work at all,food served at dinner had some issues (rice was kind of acid cause cleary was old)

A bit worn, though spotless clean. Breakfast is a bit repetitive, but for a week you can manage. Lacks some fresh and cold ingredients.

Clean place. . Very nice and helpful staff. The pool was crystal clean everyday. Not far from the beach, a short walk down the main street. Supermarket is fairly close, restaurants too.

Bit run down - tiles missing on sink surround, etc but we had a really lovely stay.

A loud disco at night during the weekend opposite the hotel was going on till the morning. The location is excellent, very close to the beach but while you go there you are likely to be stopped by a dozen people trying to sell you something. Nothing particular regarding this hotel, just one side of Cape Verde which is not nice.

The noise from the bar across the street on the first night, this problem was fixed by moving us to a pool facing the pool.

The AC in our room didnt work for the whole week. In reception they promised to fix it every day and maybe some electrician tried to fix it but yet the AC was not working. I hope they change the whole machine before next guests.

The price-quality is good. The hotel is close to the center.

If I have to find something.... The pillows are the worst I have ever used in my life! Seems like I exaggerate, but they somehow "broken" with parts being fluffy and parts empty...

The location is amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is super clean and the breakfast amazing.
