The staff in the spa were not quite upto expectations, especially the second time my daughter went to them for a massage.

The IT system is not very good. Some expenses were booked incorrectly which meant I got a warning letter due to overspending my deposit. It was possible to quickly solve it at the desk, but it was quite uncomfortable to receive such a letter due to an IT mistake.

I think the breakfast options could be improved, nothing wrong with it but was expecting more. I understand this can be influenced by the fact most products need to be imported to the island. Nonetheless, it's just a matter of preference. Would have liked a more thorough cleaning in the room, specifically the floor because of sand. The staff in the breakfast area and housekeepers weren't as friendly or approachable.

We were really pleased with our choice of accommodation. Spacious, quiet and just the right amount of guests around. Great facilities and location. Easy walk to town, perhaps 15 min away. The pool area was great but the hotel is also right by the beach so you could easily alternate between both. Plenty of sunbeds available at the beach and the Hilton's Bounty Beach Restaurant right there too. The reception staff was lovely at all times. Also really enjoyed the Spa facilities and treatments on offer. The room was very spacious, comfortable and loved the bed.

Some of the staff could have smiled more, seemed almost a bit grumpy. The pool bar was a bit understaffed during the lunch time and definitely understaffed for the happy hour as the wait for the drinks was sometimes half an hour.

Beautiful location on the best part of the Santa Maria beach. Excellent breakfast with very good options. Very nice pool and a lot of sunbeds. Very good beds. Absolutely recommend to try the tapas on Bar Cize, definitely best value for money food in the hotel restaurants!

The pool could do with having a proper shallow end and be a little warmer… the gala dinner on Christmas & New Years Eve is vastly overpriced! And although the kids club has vastly improved from last year and although it’s not specifically a hotel designed for children it wouldn’t do any harm to out on some occasional entertainment for them in the evening…

We go to the Hilton Sal annually because we like it so much, the location is perfect, it’s very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. The food is good and the staff are very helpful.

The beds where comfortable as well as bed linens. The room was clean and i really appreciated that there was everyday 2 bottles of 1,5 liter of water offerd by the hotel in the room. I also liked that the hotel is a walking distance from the city but away from the hussle. As i personaly went there to listen to the sound of the sea rather than the music which while walking around I could hear from the neighbouring hotels. Breakfast was very plentiful with the coffee corner and a barista :) always a bonus.

Pool a little cold, particularly on the days when it wasnt as warm weather. Buffet breakfast got a little monotonous as it did not change each day.

Very little to complain about. Only small improvement would be extra attention to cleaning of the shower as there was hair leftover from the previous guest. Other than this room cleaned very well

I have some concerns that I want to talk about. I had to wait 45 minutes for the room although I checked in at 3:00 PM. I am American so, I was very surprised by the limited supply of toiletries in this particular 5 star hotel, for example, no comb, Qtips, body lotion, shower caps, toothbrush and toothpaste, makeup towel, etc. I forgot my toothbrush and I requested one at the front desk, to my surprise, they had none. I was forced to buy one from the shops inside the hotel for an outrageous amount of money while I was in a 5 star hotel, on top of it, a Hilton. The service at the Pool Bar is extremely slow even with very few customers. I asked for a smoothie and it took them 25 minutes to make it, at the end, they brought me the wrong one. It was not a mater of misunderstanding because I spoke Portuguese to the staff. Don't get me wrong, they are nice to the customers but they lack the energy and speed required for the job.

The facilities are nice, room was very clean, food was fine. Front desk staff are very helpful. The safe didn't work and it was immediately fixed. Although the booking lists robes and sleepers they were not in the room but they were brought in as per my request. The restaurant staff is particularly friendly and helpful. Kudos for all of them.

Dinner buffet is not the best I have seen, but the beach bar has great food and room service is cheap. Didn't take halfboard and were happy we didn't.

Amazing hotel. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The common spaces and rooms are clean and comfortable. Drinks and food at the beach and pool bar are great, so is the breakfast.
