The wifi connection was not perfect - not good for working related calls. The coffee at breakfast is not good.

A peaceful and beautiful place with attentive staff. The room was comfortable and the swimming pool area truly relaxing. The food at the restaurant is also good.

Forgot my wallet the morning I left the hotel for the airport. Got there and discovered no wallet so switched on my data and the amazing receptionist Denilson had already messaged me to tell me the cleaner found it in my room. He immediately sent it in a taxi to the airport where it safely arrived. What a team that saved my day!

The prices in the restaurant for drinks and food are too high compared to local prices.

The room was spacious and clean, the pool area is nice, with a great view and the hotel is well located (5-10 minutes walk to the next sand beach and 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre of Santa Maria). The area is calm and not too busy but close to the centre. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for holidays. The location is excellent, a little outside of the town and right on the water. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was great.

Nothing really. It was windy and dusty when we arrived which made us nervous about the trip in general, but the place grew on us more and more. Would have loved to see a yoga class or similar. A missed opportunity, perhaps?

Boutique hotel, reasonably priced, locally run, on edge of Santa Maria but easy walk to town centre. Close to beach. Quiet and relaxed. Food in the evening excellent. Warm and friendly staff, very helpful. Room was large, simply furnished with local touches, very comfortable. Clean and pleasant. Pool never too busy. Overall, as a couple without children, so much nicer than being in a huge anonymous resort that sends profits overseas!

The shower was a bit small but comfortable. Very strict about the breakfast hours. 10am is a bit early to close the breakfast on a holiday destination. The coffee machine was a bit confusing but all in all very good breakfast with scrambled eggs, crepes and collection of bread and cakes. And a variety of fresh fruits.

Clean property. Beautiful swimming pool. Calm area. Near the cap perfect for walking and running. Five minutes walk to the town full of bars and restaurants. Comfortable bed and a big tv with rich selection of channels. 2 minutes walk to the beach gym and two surf -restaurants.

parts of the hotel were old and neglected. sunbeds were old and uncomfy, daybed curtains all old and not fitting. pool was freezing, not enough plates or cups at breakfast and always running out, coffee machine broke every day and cheap coffee tasted awful when it did work. birds sitting on the lovely cakes (just needs cheap little cake covers at euro each).. small things but they all added up to make it feel like it was neglected and not as good value for money. its location is a 15 min dark walk from town and would not reccomend to solo female travellers as not nice walk in evening. We only did B&b and were glad of this as despite food being good the restaurant was really bland and sterile to sit at night. An early sunset happy hour with tunes would be nice.

We liked the hotel, friendly staff, breakfast and views from the pool. peace and quietness at the pool area. clients were older couples and that meant a nice chilled vibe (except for odd rude people using their phones non stop on speakerphone)

Very little - the only improvements I could suggest would be the addition of a full length mirror in bedroom 12 and the curtain in the room didn’t fully close - relevant as the room was on the ground floor. This could easily be remedied if the railing was extended slightly.

The meals were superb with outstanding presentation at dinner and the staff were all wonderful. The location of the hotel was conducive to a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable mattress and the non-slip walk-in shower was ideal. There were plenty of sun loungers and the musical entertainment in the evenings contributed to a very pleasant experience. We really liked the fact that the hotel catered almost exclusively for adults.

A couple of the plunge pools were out of action. It would be nice to see less use of single use plastic water bottles.

Beautiful quiet location, a short walk from the town, overlooking the beach and the sea. Good sized room with very large bed and with good facilities. Excellent food in the restaurant.

Economy rooms are small and there were small annoying things, like the shower head and safe not functioning properly.

The airconditioner was not working very well - it was always quite warm. The shower head was falling off in the beginning but it was quickly fixed. My side of the bed was very comfortable but my husband's side was sinking a lot (tested it myself).

The staff was very helpful and interested in getting better.

The pool side was lovely. We also loved the tranquil feel of the place. It's so peaceful and quiet. The food was lovely. Especially the cheese cake. Best place to go if you want to relax and unwind peacefully.

Our bedroom had no view except for the street. The bed itself was not comfortable and the sheets would not stay put. Also lacks beach chairs and umbrella setup when you want to stay on the beach right in front of the hotel. While by the pool had many beds and chairs to use was missing some natural shade so the sun was very strong all day.

The location and relaxing vibe made the time pass by fast. Tasty breakfast and friendly staff.

We've just returned from a week's stay at Budha Beach and loved it. We didn't want to stay in a large hotel with lots of people so this suited us. We could walk to the main strip from the hotel in 7 minutes, whereas some of the larger hotels were a taxi ride away. We did the full board option and the food was incredible! It's not a buffet style, you order from a menu and it's freshly cooked for you. Staff were attentive and so friendly and helpful. Its a great relaxing vibe at this hotel within minutes from the bars, restaurants and beautiful white sandy beach/ pier. We stayed in a suite and room and balcony were huge and very clean.

The first room we got had an issue with the air conditioner so in a few hours we needed to move to another room but the staff was very helpful and supportive in the process. It’s very convenient that the restaurant is part of the hotel. The restaurant staff are also very friendly but the prices are high like in Northern Europe, one mean 10+ euros. The location is not bed, it’s a quiet area with few people passing by the pool but it’s one of the last hotels in the town. When walking towards the center at night you have to walk a few hundred meters in a darker area, a bit uncomfortable.

The staff are friendly. The hotel wasn’t overcrowded which was nice as all 10-15 guests could use the swimming pool throughout the day without bothering each other. We never felt unsafe in Santa Maria but the hotel had two security guards. The receptionist can help book a taxi or different adventures. We needed to check out early because of our flight and the staff packed some simple breakfast for us the day before.

The Budha Beach Hotel was a nice start of our holidays in Cape Vert. The location is a bit at the edges of Santa Maria but very relaxing and peaceful. The room was big and spacious and clean and the staff extremely nice!
