How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The shower's are based on a water heater so after 5mins the water goes cold

A little far from the beach, but very convenient for the town and airport
Safe and comfortable. The staff is so kind, breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

They don’t accept some cards. Price was a bit high for location.

Having to leave!
Right from the start, we felt that the staff were particularly helpful, friendly and warm. This was amply confirmed when one of us had a medical emergency - everyone went out of their way to help.

This is one of the better hotels I have stayed in. Polite staff, food available all day abd little d world touches. Location is good for Platô.

The rooms that face the road are a little bit noisy during the day. The hot water runs out quickly. The Internet is extremely slow on the second floor.
The staff was super extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us. They even let us stay eight hours longer without extra pay.

There is no private parking, but street parking was available.
The hotel is close to the city center (15min walking), has stores and restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious enough, equiped with everything you need (except iron). The breakfast is a nice experience since a chef is preparing fresh dishes and you can customize them. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

As close to a custom boutique hotel as we felt in attention, care, and kindness - from management to staff -; priced competitively. Breakfast is special, outside esplanade cool too. Location perfect to move or stay.

WiFi not good in the room. It might just be our room at the back but we only got WiFi in the rooftop cafe or the reception area. Some of the breakfast items could be better. Fresh juice instead of squash. One day we had a delicious omelette the next day it was dry white toast, cheese and an over boiled egg.
Clean and comfortable rooms with large and comfortable bed. Located about 10 minutes walk to the centre - the Plateau - where there are some cafes, restaurants and cash machines. Safe to walk to and from the centre in the day but probably best to get a taxi at night. Breakfast was nice although the quality differed daily (all the sweet dishes were delicious). Breakfast was served in a nice setting on the rooftop.

Located near mercado de sucupira. Very helpful staff. The hotel provided transportation at night to a restaurant. Good facilities at the hotel and great rooftop.

AC was not working well due to missing freon. However, if you keep during the night the window opened, it is quite ok, and I would say better than with AC.
Staff members are very nice and helpful. Every day our room was cristal cleaned. Great island tour offered.

Very good service and great location close to the airport. They arrange transfers from and to the airport at a fair price. We had an early flight and they prepared us some breakfast at 6am which was appreciated.

Location is not the best if guests want to take a walk but not critical. Room Air conditioning was pointed to bed that for us is not best option.
Functional, discreet, restaurant with good local food, good breakfast. Room was clean with working AC. People working there are excellent hosts, kind and helpful 10m with car from airport and 5m from shipyard.
