This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is wonderful. The facilities are beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous. Shout out to Roosevelt and Louis for making it a special trip along with all the other staff. Club Rio was fantastic. The horseback riding was an experience we will never forget. All the other excursions off property surpassed expectations.

It felt at times artificial and not authentic. The food at the restaurants was disappointing, especially the sushi restaurant. Breakfast was good. It felt like everything was an extra charge. For the amount you pay for the rooms, it would have been nice to have more gratuites. The inside shop was really overpriced.

Beautiful property. The view of Arenal is unbeatable. Very well manicured. The hot springs at the Rio Club are amazing. Nice activities for the kids: including mini golf, game room, game tables, pool, pin pong, etc We had a room with two queen beds. The rooms was spacious but I felt like they needed a better interior layout design ( no real living space for the size of the room). The balcony was great with a nice view of the volcano. Everything was very clean. The staff was very kind and friendly.

Breakfast is not included - is very good, but somewhat overpriced. Restaurants on the other hand are quite average, limited and overpriced. The majority of the activities within the facilities are also not included, and somewhat overpriced. All in all it is an excellent hotel, but it should offer better food (for the price) and provide access to some activities free of charge.

Lighting around the property could be increased. It's very dark at night. Lunch time options closer to the pool or poolside service would have been nice.

Amazing resort hotel. The 28 thermal pools were great, as was the monkey slide but be prepared to walk to the pools and know that most hotel rooms are aways from the restaurants and activity centers. Rooms were huge and so were the bathrooms, outdoor terraces were expansive as well with lots of seating etc...

More places on property to have lunch and/or a snack type of place that was better than a gift shop but not as formal as a restaurant, like a poolside snack bar. The property is enormous with lots of steps to climb in the main building. We are very able bodied but I could see this being problematic for some guests or just time consuming to get from one place to another.

The size of the rooms was wonderful with gorgeous outdoor patios overlooking the volcano. The bathrooms had double basins and lots of counter space The shower was nice and big and there was a separate bathtub that we didn't use given the numerous outdoor thermal pools. We had 2 separate rooms for 3 nights and then had a family suite for one night. Family suite could sleep 6 with 2 bathrooms. We only had 4 adults but it was a great option to be in one room for that last night.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed. Staff, grounds, property, location are excellent. Very cozy and comfortable. Lot of nature all around. Would highly recommend to any one who is visiting this area.

This was one of the most beautiful resorts. The attention to detail was excellent. The staff was very attentive, and the resort was immaculate. Visit the Arenal Waterfall, Sky Adventure Ziplining, Tubing, and Monkey slide! The property has so much to do, so leave time to enjoy!

The food was not really good, and really expensive for what it was.

The property was beautiful, in the middle of nature. All the pools and hot springs were so nice, with beautiful views of the volcano. And the staff were amazing, always available to help. They were very kind with the kids and surprised us by celebrating my mom’s birthday! The play room for the kids was also a great addition!

The only thing was the hair dryer n the room was pretty terrible.

The service was great - everyone was so friendly! The hotel had so much for our family - the pools/hot springs, mini golf, kids club, games, etc. The food was lovely. The gym was well appointed. Guest laundry was a great bonus. We had an amazing time and would definitely return.

The shrimp was very off, felt like rubber and the ant infestation in the room minibar was a little weird. No night time entertainment features for guests.

Though pricey some cocktails are not really that good. Same goes with the food in the main restaurant, it is enjoyable but given that you are in a 5 star hotel it is not worth the money. You can get better meals in Fortuna for the same price.

The entire hotel and staff make this place feel like you are in a dream. Views are incredible and the hot springs tie everything into a neat bundle. The spa also is an experience you can't miss.
