We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Costa RicaNote to management: There is no way to control lights from the bed. Only on the wall at the door. A reading light, or nightstand lamp was missed more than once. Lucky I travel with a headlamp!
Recent remodel, with up to date fixtures, hot water, and lighting options. Nice pool and patio area. Good food options in restaurant or served poolside. Just 3 blocks to the Cruise ship dock. Secure parking and great staff. The really work as a team to respond to guest desires. I will go back.

UruguayThere was no hot water in the shower and the window of the bathroom was open and when I went out I realized there was a bed under the window, not a hallway, it was inside our room, so the bed was wet, fortunately no one was sleeping on that bed as it was an extra one. Breakfast cannot be called as such, it's really terrible.
The hotel is correct, breakfast is terrible so don't even count on it. We stayed for one night and it was alright.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaNothing to do with this hotel, but we ended up here having moved (escaped!) from an other booking in the area which was awful. The immediate area is run down and the hight of the walls with barb wires doesn't make you feel safe.
Good for families with young kids with the pool in the centre of the hotel. Lovely and helpful staff.

Costa RicaThe music at the pool was loud; it was generally a pretty stimulating environment. All of the rooms we saw faced the pool, so if you wanted more privacy or quiet, there weren't many options. Not enough secure parking for all guests.
Hotel Cayuga is a great hotel. The staff are lovely, the in-house restaurant is delicious and offers room service, and the pool was awesome.

United KingdomJust one suggestion - as our room looked inwards, it would be good to have a privacy screen on the window so that people walking past cannot look in (we had to keep the curtain drawn all the time and have the lights on). This area of Puntarenas isn't very salubrious but in the evening the reception staff ordered us a taxi to go to a restaurant at the ferry port and there was secure parking, so our car was safe.
This is a nice, modern hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good shower. The breakfast was very good - a nice selection of fresh fruit, eggs, toast, gallo pinto, sausages etc. The pools were nice, with small areas for children to play in and a terrace area to sit and have cold drinks.

CanadaWe had to leave early and asked for a bag breakfast and they could not provide one. The restaurant is very expensive. Eat out. Very small bathroom. No cups for water or to brush your teeth. No elevator if that is a problem for you, ask for main floor.
It is close to the main strip where the beach is and many restaurants and stores. Pool loungers are nice. Safe parking in locked garage area.

CroatiaThe furniture and facilities are rather outdated and it is not a very good value for money. The breakfast is also poor and does not taste well. Nevertheless, it is probably the best stay in Puntarenas except much more expensive La Fiesta resort, located in El Roble.
The staff is very friendly - you will feel really like you are at home and the prices of food (which is at the bar really OK) and drinks at the bar are very affordable.

United StatesPool was really full so wasn't able to enjoy it and the hot tub in our room needed to have the jets cleaned out. Wasn't able to enjoy that part but the rest of the stay and the bar/dinner staff was wonderful!
Wish it was a little closer to the beach but it was close. Parking was very secure and the hotel itself was very clean. Breakfast was very good in the morning as well.
