Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyBreakfast was good but there wasn't much. Some fruit, eggs or sandwich of your choice and a cup of coffee. We were particularly annoyed about the billing, as for the first time in eight years traveling to Colombia we were charged "taxes" of 19%, supposedly because my partner is Colombian. Neither of us reside in Colombia though and the tax should not apply. The property insisted on charging us this tax. In order to pull off this scam they changed the bill to the name of my partner although the payment came from my card. The final bill contained the correct amount, but the tax was not listed. I It is quite obvious that the hotel does this regularly and that they are not passing on the tax to the government.
Nice hotel, recently renovated. There were some beautiful murals and the place looked very nice. We had a good room, of decent size and working air conditioning. Pretty view to the pool.

ColombiaToo noisy due to the clubs down the road. If you have the AC on all night, it will reduce the outside noise a bit. There's no mini fridge in the room.
The swimming pool was clean, the breakfast was great, and the hotel was close to shops and restaurants. Car park opposite the hotel. The staff was friendly and eager to help, especially the person in charge of the pool.

United StatesThe room was too small there was no dresser to put your stuff so I cannot unpack The receptionist had an attitude I cleaned up some coffee that I spilled with their towel and they charged me $21 they gouge American here had to go looking for toilet paper there is no hot water The door didn’t even open up all the way if you were a large person you cannot fit in the room no fresh towels they make you keep the same one for the three days you have to go ask for the key for the safe is not voluntarily provided the Wi-Fi sucks
