Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandI was expecting to be upstairs as the photo alluded to when we booked. The room was quite dark but otherwise very well equipped and beach front. The pool was most of the time overrun with happy children. There was no chance to swim or relax by the pool. You also had to time breakfast, trying to avoid really noisy and busy 'feeding frenzy' of families with children. Don't get me wrong, I do like children, was just hoping for a more leisurly experience. Next time, I might be more insistent on getting an upstairs beachfront room, at $600 pn, not a cheap holiday.
Great position at the beach, very good food at the restaurant, apart from one evening, when it was very full. The breakfast was very nice, staff friendly, nothing was too much trouble, despite being very busy. Great range of kayaks and other water sports equipment.

New ZealandThe water in Muri lagoon is murky, water not very clear and snorkeling not enjoyable- in comparison yo other parts of the island. Hospo businesses/resprts and the government need to fix this environmental disaster!
It is a great resort.

New ZealandIt was fantastic - the only thing is the beach/lagoon could be nice at this part of the island.
The rooms were newly renovated and well appointed. The bed was huge and comfortable and the outdoor space was amazing. Our room had its own terrace area leading to a beautiful lawn right on the beach front.

New ZealandThe restaurant and breakfast are very average. The staff are sometimes polite and amazing but there is also a lot of rude staff there. Cocktails are okay, if your a cocktail lover you might be disappointed. Few rude guests making people with kids feel uncomfortable. Plenty of adult only resorts they could stay at.
Amazing grounds, in a perfect location for a safe beach. Everything in Muri is easy and made beautiful for tourists. Depends on how you like to holiday. If your a resort lover, this is an amazing place to stay.

New ZealandThe neighbours an outfit called Captain Tamas boat cruises were extremely noisy not the fault of pacific resort in any way but their drumming and singing and boat horns and other activities which lasted for about 4 hours every day between 10am And at least 2pm was just too much, it completely broke any tranquility that might have existed. Room cleaners could have done a better job. It was adequate but I was there for 5 days and a mark on floor in front of chest of drawers for some kind of spill was never cleaned. Fabric on seating was stained. Lighting in room was too bright. Needed bedside lamps. Oh and all the movies and TV shows were downloaded from Yify. (that’s bootleg right?) 4.5 star hotel you’d think they wouldn’t have to do that.
Location was on nicest part of island restaurant food was excellent unless you’re vegan or vegetarian. No options. You better be prepared to eat fish. Parrot fish was amazing. Staff were friendly, bed was very comfortable.

New ZealandBeds are very soft and uncomfortable (some people might appreciate this). Rooms are very tidy but not clean. The room was very noisy, even when there was no rain or wind, the roof created an anoing and loud noise. Not to mention the immediate vicinity of the road and the roosters early in the morning ( even though we found the little chicken walking around to be very cute). Some will find the breakfast to be very poor with choice, it was fine for us and you can order additional items with extra charge.
Perfect location. It was great to have comfortable sun beds, kayaks, and paddle boards. Diner was very delicious (charged separately). We only wished it had more choice. The resort gardens are well maintained and add to a great tropical experience. Laundry facilities were very convenient. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Umbrellas available is a really cute detail.

New ZealandThis is not a hotel issue but the roosters were making noise all night on the outside of the hotel, we stayed in the rooms around the outside of the resort next to the pool and the roosters and dogs barking at all times during the night was a annoying. No issues with the hotel at all.
Breakfast was included and is well worth having, they do a paid menu breakfast but the included one was plentyful. There is lots around for eating at night but everywhere is short on staff (good thing is you would never have known at the hotel). If you eat in the hotel you must try the chocolate spring roll desert. The hotel is right on the lagoon which was safe and clean.

New ZealandThe dining options were limited, and as you'd expect for a resort, overpriced. The family room, with 3 beds, was adequate, but would have been nice to have more of a suite with one or two separate bedrooms. Most of the rooms, including ours, are not directly on the beach. It's not far to the beach. However, overall, my assessment is that this resort is not good value. Visitors to Raro would be much better off booking a private villa right on the beach with more space/bedrooms for less money. We did this for the remainder of our stay. You can still book dinners at different resorts if you want that convenient dining, but also a villa gives you a proper kitchen so more options for meals and ability to tailor your food costs.
Staff was excellent. The ability to self-service gear for paddle boarding and snorkeling was really convenient. Everything else, including facilities, accommodation, food was good but not excellent. The food was good.
