Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandPlace which makes you feel rich The best place on Raratonga. It’s located in Muri, just in front of most famous and the most beautiful lagoon of whole island. In Muri there’s night market 4 times a week so if you want to try local food not for “tourist price” that’s the easiest place to go. Market is located 5 minutes on foot from hotel so you don’t have to wait for bus or rent a car just to eat dinner. Two houses away are lagoon cruises departing points so we got every morning a bit of live music for free. Also, around 10 min on foot there’s Te Vara Nui - “island night” entertainment, the only one with stage on water. Beaches on Raro are public but the land in front of them is not so access to beach is a bit tricky if you don’t have accommodation with direct access. This hotel has desk overlooking lagoon and stairs to beach so from your bed you have like 1 minute to beach :) Hotel itself is tiny but that’s its great advantage. It is very private - 5 bungalows for max 2 people, with “only adults” rule and pool just next to beach it makes you feel like you are in place for billionaires, when you actually didn’t have spend that much. Bungalows have huge verandas with chairs and table, where you can have breakfast enjoying ocean or mountain view. Rooms are very spacious, high ceiling with underside of roof open, fan (you really need it to sleep), big comfy bed, love seats just amazing - so comfy I could sleep in them. There’s bathroom on one side and kitchenette on the other, behind bed. There’s everything you need in kitchen if you decide to cook - even mixer to make smoothies from fresh local fruits. I have read in description of the place there would a welcome local fruit if available and I thought it just for show, when actually we got a bowl of local bananas (banana tree was just next to our veranda) and limes. Room is equipped with everything you might need - there’s chair pillows for chairs on veranda and on desk in front of beach.

The property had an excellent location on Muri beach. Right next door to the night markets. The snorkelling and kayaks were a great addition! Fruit on arrival which was a lovely touch. We liked the fact we could cook our breakfast in the mornings as the room had a small kitchenette

New ZealandAir con would've helped me deal with the heat wave, instead the pool and beach compensated for that. So no real complaints about our stay
Location was spot on. Close to Muri beach excursions. Beachfront with a pool. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean.

New ZealandThe only thing we could fault is no air con and lack of natural light in the bathroom and kitchen. I’m not sure what it’s like outside of a heatwave but it felt like we couldn’t catch a break from it in our unit and using the lights in the bathroom or kitchen added to the heat.
Location - couldn’t believe how close everything we ever needed was. Markets and LBV do exceptional food and right at the doorstep, koka was 2 doors down! Privacy - the villas are positioned in a way that tenants could all be on their decks and not see each other. Sian and Harry were so respectful in terms of giving us space as well. Servicing - the cleaner stayed on top of all the linen/towels and cleared our recycling/rubbish every second day. She always said hi and kept our place immaculate! Facilities - we made good use of the airer, safe, fridge, stove, kayaks, pool chairs. Property - so well kept, tidy, beautiful, loved and the most gorgeous plants everywhere! Maintained like no other place we’ve seen on the island in a week!

Loved staying here. I had the beachfront villa that faced East for those beautiful tropical sunrises. The accomodation had rustic charm - wooden shutters, comfortable cane furniture. A big bunch of home grown bananas as a welcome. Lovely pool and friendly hosts Sian and Harry.

AustraliaThe one & only thing that i would say would be no Airconditioning ! But in saying that we found the afternoon breeze cooled the villa down.
Absolutely beautiful boutique accommodation right on Muri Lagoon. Spotless accommodation, and it exceeded our expectations. Sian & Harry were both awesome and do a great job. We stayed in Villa 2, which i would definitely stay in again with its views overlooking the pool and the lagoon.

It has the ambiance of being private. As the word says - Hideaway. The location itself is perfect as it is close to town and has takeaway shops and convenience store if needed. Beach has beautiful white sands and water is perfect for the water activity. View you get from the unit was spectacular. The cottage is perfect in size and is equipped with all that you need when staying up there. Harry was very accomodating and helpful. Units were cleaned daily and Ofelia did wonderful job at it Amenities like kayaks lounge chairs and snorkel gears were provided. Overall, the place is indeed worth coming back.

New ZealandThe location of Muri does face into the prevalent winds on the island, however this isn’t a complaint about the property.
Boutique self catering adult only accommodation offering comfortable villas & privacy. Excellent facilities & helpful on site host/manager Harry. Beachfront on Muri Beach lagoon and walking distance to convenience shop, cafe, sailing club, Te Vara Nui and larger resort properties. We really enjoyed our stay at Hideaway and would recommend it.

New ZealandThere was not much I didn't like, if I had to pick something, I would say it can get noisy if you don't like the sound of the beach, it didn't bother me but if you need quiet to sleep, don't get the villa right on the beach front. ,
I have stayed at many different places in Rarotonga but value for money, this is the best I have found, I love that I woke up and right out the door was the best view, I loved that everything was in walking distance, I would totally recommend this place to all my friends and family. The cleaner is amazing and so friendly... love, love, love ❤️
