Excellent value for money, good way to visit Aititaki on a budget. Location great, friendly staff.

Could use a good scrub. Some hooks for clothes would be nice. A couple bikes available, but most are not functional. Lagoon tours were not available as listed.

Location was great! Right on the lagoon. Great for beach walking, snorkeling, swimming, etc. Comfy beds! Filtered water available.

Not a resort but that wasn’t what I was expecting

Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. Complete information booklet within the room. Good location with snorkeling right off the huts, able to walk along beach to nearby restaurant, and good sunsets at night. Free bikes and scooters to rent. But internet data there. Matthias and Riki very helpful

You probably need to hire a scooter if you want to get around the island but this doesn’t change wherever you are based and Matariki has one for you to hire from them!

It is all a bit dated, but that's why you pay relatively little.

Be aware that you go to a budget accomodation. Switch your mindset to it and you will have a great time! Perfect beach access, with fabulous snorkling right in front of the huts. Mattias and Riki provide simple bicycles, but for free. Pleasant to keep you mobile to supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants on that side of Aitutaki. And do Mattias' boat cruise! It is worth every dollar; snorkeling with the giant trevallies is a great experience!

A little too far from shops to get provisions but that can be resolved easily.

Its location, with beautiful lagoon beach right in front of the huts, it’s quietness and relaxed, laid back feel.

Nothing - the accommodation was lovely.

Both Matthias & Riki were lovely and welcoming. Made our stay 100% better. They both were very kind & even stopped in every now & then to have a chat with us. Although it was hard to get transport they both helped us out. Couldn’t have asked for a better host.

Good location with a nice beach, nice, clean and cozy huts with everything you need. Lagoon tour was really good. You could walk along the beach to restaurants of nearby hotels in case you didn't want to cook. Free bikes were great to explore the island.

I learn to like all, but you have to understand what you are booking. This is not the resort, everything is little old, water arrangements are different, cocks make noise, gekko might come to say hello… But I didn’t have problems with mosqitos inside my hut.

Absolutely fantastic location on the peaceful beach. More nights I stay there, more I love it. So much meanings for your life than boring resorts offer (where I just came there) Services worked great, renting the scooter was easy, cruise they offer on the lagoon was special for me! But the beach in 10 meters - it’s a thing! What is more luxus than walk by the safe and silent (!) beach to good restaurant on the sunset and with the torchlight back.

There was a lack of communication about some things whether it be before arrival or after. I had no idea whether I was being picked up or not. I had organised with someone else to pick me up when there was no confirmation, but then was told by the other hotel that he was there to get me. Strange one.

Loved absolutly everything! You must try to believe it ;) Very cosy cottage, great bed, well equiped, beautiful views, great snorkell, just seriously paradise !!!! Have scooters (25$) and free old bikes or newer for 10$ for whole day !!! Super cool place omg ❤️

We had an amazing stay at Matriki Beach huts. Matthias was very knowledgeable of the area and friendly. The bikes and snorkel gear were available to be used and we thoroughly enjoyed snorkelling right off the beach in front of our Accomodation.

I loved the location , Beach front, the ocean just steps away. Peaceful and quite. Good snorkelling out front at high tide. The owner friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the whole area. Doing the lagoon cruise with him was insightful, and fun.

Some of the shared cutlery and dishwashing items could have been cleaner, but not a big deal. Just be prepared for a basic camp-cabin style experience. If you're ok with that, then this is a great budget friendly option

Fantastic location, Matias is a very welcoming host. Even if you do not stay here, doing the Matriki lagoon tour is highly recommended for a more intimate and authentic experience, away from the big tourist boats. We also loved the possibility of having a fire and BBQ on the beach, the surprisingly clean shared toilets, the cats and the free bike :)

Matthias’s lagoon tour was the most exceptional we could hope for. We enjoyed the small size of the group and various stops. Lunch was delicious. The beach hut’s bed was very comfortable. The hut is basic as indicated but all we needed. Location is sensational. We were able to use the paddleboarding for free. Overall we would stay again there

A real paradise in Aitutaki . Matthias ll provide everything you need for a wonderful stay near the beautiful beach and lagoon . Rooms/huts are really special and very comfy . You can go with Matthias who knows every places in the lagoon for snorkelling in the middle of Napoleon's Fish , turtles and corals . What an extraordinary adventure !
