Location to lagoon was excellent with great snorkling available. Not the best for swimming but 20 minutes down the road clockwise are excellent swimming points. Water pristine and warm. Swimming pool great size and clean.

The fruit offered at breakfast was very substandard for a resort like the Crown Beach. Also bacon was only offered on one morning of the 5 we were there.

This is our second time staying at the Crown Beach Resort and we felt the breakfast on offer was not as good as last time.

It does seem a bit dated in some areas - dining room needs an overall Breakfast was average - buffet style- but lacked a good toaster!! Gym - not good it was a hazard except for the free weights

This adults only resort is right on the beach. The bar is handy to all the rooms. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The pool was clean and in a lovely setting. Rooms are clean and kitchen/fridge in the room The views at the front were amazing as was the snorkelling- they provided the equipment. Free use of washing/drying facilities which was great The food was stunning- we had the special meal on the beach -sublime - felt very special

It was so private in our suite. Happy hour was the best time to order cocktails. They have incredible sunsets on this side of the island and plenty of seats to watch them in. We saw whales on our first Happy Hour night too! Highly recommend the inhouse breakfast buffet, it was tasty, had heaps of options and was so convenient.

Our villa was a bit old and tired. Bed a bit soft. The resort as a whole is also a bit old and tired looking.

The staff were wonderful. The restaurant was good. Pool and beach areas and facilities were good.

The sun loungers are too hard to get in and out for older people. I always drive around to the beach by the Rarotongan Hotel because the beach at the Crown is too rocky.

Breakfast was good. Staff were great, especially the lady who cleaned our room. This is our fifth or sixth time at the Crown Beach and we keep coming back despite trying 5 other resorts.

The first villa we were put in had no hot water- we were told this was resort wide, but we discovered this was not true after talking to other residents. We were also told it was "being fixed", but after a day when it was not, we asked to be moved into another villa. They did put us into a bigger and better placed villa, but it was pretty tired, with some very obvious mould on the glass shower tiles, which was pretty gross. Food on buffet nights was decidedly average and downright inedible on the Island Night, sadly. We had a couples massage at the on-site spa which was carried out by what seemed inexperienced staff, and I would not recommend - in contrast we had an outstanding massage at the nearby Edgewater.

The outside areas were well maintained, and the staff were friendly, likeable and helpful. The food at the restaurant was outstanding on a la carte nights, and we enjoyed the entertainment on the island night very much. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
