I was disappointed when we arrived late at night (10.30 ish) to hear that our room was not made up for two x singles. We were asked to share until the next day. I declined this offer as even though we were sisters, we both have ill health so need our own beds. So we had to wait until someone could make up the beds and so that meant a late night. My sister had a big bag and was left to carry it up the stairs by herself, so overall that did not make it an enjoyable first evening. It was a shame not to be able to walk on the beach as it was too stony.

.The staff were lovely after day one, helpful, gave friendly advice etc. The rooms were clean and tidy every day. The atmosphere was pleasant. The fact that it rained the whole time was not anyone's fault but it was disappointing not to enjoy any sun. The day we left it was sunny for a couple of hours which was nice.

Wifi was expensive. The staff was okay, some were a little rude. It felt pretty salesy overall - always trying to sell you more things and drinks. Breakfast was good but simple, and you had to pay extra for things like eggs which was a shame. Restaurant was very slow even when not busy.

Great spacious and clean rooms. Comfortable facilities overall with nice swimming pool and pool bar - ability to get food pretty much anytime without needing ti leave the resort. Able to do laundry too which was great! the food was pretty good for a hotel restaurant.

It would have been nice to have had a chair or two in the room. However, we had a table and chairs outside, and we did spend quite a bit of time sitting outside.

I loved how Club Raro is on the reef front, and you can go and watch the waves breaking on the reef any time you want We could also hear the waves from our room at night. I also like how the entire complex is single storey. The landscaping around the pool area is gorgeous, and I loved being able to see the sea from the dining room. The pool is small but perfectly adequate as the resort is adults only, so there are no children to compete with for space in the pool. Our stay at Club Raro was even better for the fact that the staff there are fantastic - warm, welcoming and very helpful.

Swimming pool a little to small

Staff briiliant, food great, our stay was so good.Emele at reception superb, Tamata in security, what a lovely person. Sue in dining room also a lovely person. On the whole, our stay was superb. Would not stay anywhere else!

The swimming pool is very small ,especially when big groups of loud New Zealanders take it over. Excess charges for WiFi.

The sheet in the room is not very clean. The next day I asked for a new one, and the service staff put it on the stool outside my room for a day. I guess I may have forgotten it and no one came to change it. I changed it myself at night.

Some of the older rooms are a bit tired and the cockroaches are a bit unsettling - Apt 4.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and made us feel like we were part of the "family". It is lovely how they interact with guests on their time off, full credit to how the facility is run, not many resorts allow that which totally makes the difference. The snorkeling on the beach was a real bonus, not busy and worth the dip in the ocean. The food at both the Sandbar & Jalapenos was amazing, plus the cocktail menu is to die for!

Prices at bar higher than surrounding resorts (directly compared bar to Edgewater and Muri Beach Hotel happy hour and non-happy hour). Rooms are a bit tired could do with refurbishing. Some parts of resort appear to have been refurbished but others not.

Pool Bar definitely the highlight of this resort. Lovely staff.
