Everything was convenient, our room was very comfortable and clean. The bar/restaurant was opposite our room. The pool, was just outside our room😍 Very clean and you could swim anytime you wanted. And the stunning beach where you could access kayaks, snorkeling gear. The staff were amazing as well. Thank you❤️

Although the suite description on Booking.com said that my studio had an ocean view, that would only be true if a cyclone flattened all of the trees and shrubs down to the ground. “Garden view” would be a more accurate description.

It has all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday. I loved swimming in the lagoon and enjoyed the music at night. Anna was great at arranging my transportation.

What is not to like. We really enjoyed everything.

Awesome location, and room was close to shipwreck. Friendly and helpful staff. Had the option to change rooms which really appreciated. Great breakfast. Enjoyed the fresh fruit, cereal and toast each day. Plenty of it and can go back for seconds if needed. The staff were happy to ring around and make bookings for activities at short notice and give great advice for best activities. Got to practice with free use of snorkelling gear and kayaks before going out to the booked activities. The awesome pool to chill out in which was like a spa. The grounds were always clean and tidy. Listening to the live music every night and the chefs special steak and cream paua was the best. The bonus was the free wifi.

Amazing spot on the beach with super helpful and lovely staff! Great snorkeling and swimming beach, bar, pool and they have snorkeling equipment and kayaks for guests to use. A lovely spot in paradise! Another bonus is the lovely sunset! Good wifi, offered for free which is rare on the island. The absolute best for me though was how Aroa has taken steps to reduce its environmental impact and support of this beautiful paradise. After my stay I went on to stay at Club Raro and wish I had just booked at Aroa for the whole time.

I hated the awful anti-dog control device!! Whenever we walked out our room to the pool, beach or bar, it triggered an alarming high pitched sound. It hurt my ears and totally scared me, every time! Worked out it was to deter dogs from the hotel areas. I love hanging out with dogs at our other Raro accom, and on all the beaches, they’re so friendly, it seems so unnecessary for a country full of lovely dogs. Previous guests must have complained about dogs but geez, don’t come to Raro if you don’t like dogs! Please, consider taking this device away. Music going all day and night from the bar is a bit much. Some peace and quiet would have been nice at least during the day, but I guess it’s more of a beach bar type accommodation which attracts guests that enjoy that. I found it quite grating on the ears whilst I sat on the beach trying to just enjoy the natural beauty and sounds of the ocean. If it was Cook Islander songs I would be more ok with it but it’s like party vibes.

Sunsets are really beautiful from Aroa. What attracted us was all the reviews talking about great snorkelling right out front. Such handy accommodation with the bar and restaurant right there on the beach, decent beer selection too and food was much better than we expected. New pool is awesome, right on the beach but they haven’t uploaded photos of it here. Staff were lovely - allowed early check in and a free breakfast tray. Petrol station a few mins walk up the road has plenty of food options for you to take back to the room and cook up, some already cooked hot options too.

Could not think of anything I did not like. Recommend taking taxi from the airport and negotiate price with driver (not more than 28 NZD)

It could not get any better. Run by owner, a true professional but also great likeable person. An impeccable place, all thought through. Felt like at home, but you also have your own space any minute you need. The food at the restaurant was super delicious - as the Chef said: prepared with love. Super supportive with me needing to get around and wiht some last minute laundry. If there was the option of 11 points, I would have to give them. Stayed only for one night - wish I had stayed longer.

Beautiful location with the most lovely and friendly staff. Everything was great, the room was great, the best margaritas and the food was great too. The staff went above and beyond to help out and we can't wait to come back and stay here again. Such good vibes we loved it!!

This place is like a family. Everyone is very welcoming from the owner and manager to all of the staff. The beach is amazing. The shipwreck bar has good food and drinks. We had a great time. They built a pool while we were there which was a great little bonus. Will come back for sure.

The Aro Resort has a great location, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was well stocked to be able to self cater, good included wifi...the only down side was the bed.. but all 3 places i stayed in the Cook isles had uncomfy beds.. The live music was a bonus.

Needed more cooking facilities. A bit of oil or salt and pepper would be handy. A chopping board too but we were only there 1 night and didn't ask. The staff were so nice I'm sure they would have helped but we got by.

View from our room was priceless, Snorkeling with free gear and the bar was fun. They were lovely with our late flight too and very helpful.

Nothing. BTW, this hotel is now called Aroa Beachside Inn - not Resort, which I think more suitable to describe the facilities of this accommodation.

All staff (including at the restaurant) are very friendly and helpful. We arrived the hotel around 7:30am and Lisa, the duty manager, offered us a complimentary room for changing clothes and bit of lie down before our own room was ready. We did not expect this service and are very grateful.

The owner hosted a private (loud) party in the bar one evening, didn't wind up until 1am.

There was a hiccup with booking.com we were booked into a room that didn't exist. Lisa, the manager, quickly rectified this. Breakfast was more than adequate. An added bonus was a full cooked breakfast for those watching the Rugby World Cup! The most fabulous setting to sit and watch the games, great to chat with other guests. Picture postcard beach right in front, just steps away from the accommodation. Great swimming and snorkeling Whales out in front most days, live music Thursday and Sunday was pretty special as well. sunsets were spectacular. Staff were great, meals lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Lisa and her girls work really, really hard to make the whole place run smoothly. Thank you for all the little extras. The restaurant and Shipwreck beach bar is very popular and is open to the public from midday, All quiet again by 9 - 9.30

Linen could do with replacing. Beach towels especially were threadbare.

Being able to walk straight off the beach and snorkel was fabulous. Staff were friendly and helpful. Having a restaurant onsite was very handy.
