The property is actually quite old. I had read this on the comments, but was hopeful the pictures were more realistic. The pillows are as flat as a tack. The upside is the staff are exceptional, always helpful and friendly.

The location is great, just short walk 15mins from town. Close to the train station Grindelward and supermarkets. Views were spectacular from my window and there is a sitting table to enjoy a beer and admire the mountains in the afternoon

The only very small negative was that the hotel felt a little 'tired' and could benefit from some modernisation and updating... Paintwork, carpets and overall decor of the hotel. However, having said that, our room was very comfortable and very warm with those fantastic views.

Breakfast was very good and the view from our room and the hotel were amazing of the Eiger and other mountains. Our balcony gave outstanding views of the mountains - we could almost touch them from the balcony. The staff we're very lovely and accommodating and the check in, although we arrived late, our room key was waiting for us. Parking was excellent.

Well situated (8 min walk to the cable car), car parking, view of the Eiger. Warm and lovely view of the Eiger. Lots of room. Breakfast was ok.

It’s near to Cable station, around 10-15mins to the Grindewald train station. Open the window, the snow mountains and green grasslands catched our eyes, so pretty in Spring~

The hotel was a little dated.

The area of the hotel was quiet. Free city bus pass. The bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was amazing… hot and cold choices. The view was amazing.

Only downside was a lack of soundproofing but with earplugs, was all good.

Loved our room, had a little sitting room area nearby with great few of the mountains. Room was cozy, good selection for breakfast, even had bacon! The staff were friendly and had good banter.

Hotel was tired. Carpet threadbare on the stairs. Room was very old fashioned with tired looking decor and furnishings. Beds were two single pushed together. Only one very small thin pillow each. No-one around late to ask for another. Basin in bathroom was badly cracked. Needs a proper upgrade really for the money charged and the beautiful location.

Located towards the top of the town, very close to bus stop Kirche for the Grindelwald Terminal (to get up to the Jungfrau) It was a walk or a bus ride to Grindelwald First gondola station, not 'next door' as stated. However we didn't mind the walk to the town for restaurants and bars, shops. Free bus ticket was given to us at reception Parking was good and free. Staff were pleasant and helpful Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice with hot and cold options. There is a balcony with tables and chairs overlooking the mountains. We took the bus to Grindelwald Terminal a mile or so down the mountain to catch the Gondola up to connect with the Jungfrau Railway to the glacier. This was a must-see experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the day we spent. Don't limit the time up there. Plenty to see and do. Restaurants expensive so we took a picnic and just bought hot drinks. It can be very cold even when it is really warm in the resort.

The location is a little bit far from the main street and train station. The interior is outdated.

Power socket is limited to one side of the bed only. And another one near the table. One morning, water supply was disrupted for a while.

The place is a bit further away from the city center, about 15-20 mins walk from the train station. I appreciate it since that means you get to stay at the quieter side of Grindelwald. Hotel room is a bit bare, but you have everything you need. They also have a public area where you can use common fridge and microwave. The breakfast was a nice surprise for us, since we didn't expect the room to come with breakfast. It's basic, but it's nice -- you know how expensive the food in Switzerland is.

The location, the view, the very pleasant staff. A good choice for breakfast. Free parking. Booked a room with a balcony and view of the Eiger to which both excelled. The hotel is in a good location to enjoy all the amenities of Grindelwald. Would definitely book again.
