Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesMore expensive than other Belem hotels, but lacks some of the finesse that ought to accompany the higher price. For example, the card provided at check-in offering a complimentary drink at the bar turns out to be limited to only one kind of drink or two kinds of juice. (Orange juice? They have it, but it’s an additional charge.) There was initially no hot water in our room, but a quick visit from housekeeping made the necessary adjustment. When we returned to the hotel again a few days later, there was no soap in the room (quickly remedied by a call to the front desk), and the lights behind the headboard didn’t work. The included breakfast buffet is lavish, but the quality is not at the same level as on our previous pre-pandemic visit.
This was our favorite hotel in Belem, and we’ve stayed here (as well as at other hotels in this city) multiple times. Secure garage beneath the hotel. Well-located within easy walking distance to major parks/plazas and good restaurants and shops. Rooftop swimming pool, gym, sauna.

Decent stay, nothing extravagantly fancy but nice. Underground parking was handled nicely. Breakfast was good. Staff was great. Perfectly acceptable overall.

SurinameI know it is not your problem to solve, but it would be highly appreciated if You could work with the city to repair the open sewer system in front of the hotel. It smells of urine and the front of the hotel porch is always wet. The management should encourage their employees to look at movies spoken in the English language. If you solve the sewer problem I will stay there next time.

United StatesI left a personal item at the hotel. It is not a pricey item - but, it is a very special item to me - as it was a gift from my parents that I have had and traveled with - for almost 50 years. We were guests of the hotel on February 16, 2022(two months ago). Shortly after our stay, I contacted the hotel and they confirmed that they had found my special item. I asked them to mail for me and I told them I would pay for the postage. It took them weeks to let me know how much the postage would be. They also informed me the only way I could pay them was by sending my credit card information in an email(which I would never do because of security) or a wire transfer. They would not accept the details in a phone call nor by fax. So I spent the $25 wire transfer fee to send them $45 for postage for a very small item - almost two weeks ago. I messaged them that the wire has been sent and have received absolutely no response from them.
The front desk clerk was very helpful.
