How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Incredibly friendly and helpfull staff. Massages are great and affordable. Nice pool/spa and breakfeast. Located in a quit area away from the hectic city center, but still with plenty of restaurants etc nearby. Can only recommend!

Location is out of the main touristy area - but not a problem and an easy cable car ride to anywhere you want to be.
Staff were super accommodating and lovely. Even made me a packed breakfast for my super early flight!

The hotel restaurant could have been better - but the staff were lovely.
Gorgeous hotel, exactly like the photos. Really helpful staff - they gave us a packed breakfast for our day trip and helped us book restaurant reservations. The best local restaurant is La Suisse - with an award winning cocktail bar attached.

Pool area felt a bit dated - due to condensation it was leaking from the pool, walls were pealing, sauna didn't really heat up (it was a steam room not really a sauna anyways). We enjoyed it regardless.
Really enjoyed my stay there- staff was lovely, rooms were beautiful, gym was huge with a ton of machines. My partner had a massage he really liked.. Also breakfast is very good!

Ernesto and team made my stay wonderful from start to finish. I loved it here, the breakfast is tasty and has a large range, and all the gym equipment was brand new and clean ! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nothing really - restaurant could have more options, especially for vegetarians which is super limited
Loved the place, very professional and amazing facilities and rooms. Really had a perfect stay over Christmas and would come back here any time. Hotel taxi was awesome as well. The hotel even kept some Christmas cards for us which arrived 2 months after our stay and are posting them back to England for us. Love all you guys at the hotel!!

The facility was lovely, the food good, and the staff was amazing. Everisto was the best and took care of our needs and always with a smile. The restaurant staff were all very kind and always wanting to take care of us.

Breakfast was pretty average.
Design was excellent, modern and functional. Location also great, very quiet neighborhood of LaPaz. A bit far from centre but that’s actually good so you can relax.

Everything was amazing.
I liked everything! I've stayed at hotels all over the world and MET was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my entire life. I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff were amazing. The breakfast was fantastic! Would love to stay here again.

All things that we didn't like were addressed by the staff and management.
We liked the decor and facilities in this hotels. The rooms (2 separate occasions), were very spacious with comfortable beds. We had some issues when we initially arrived, but we felt that the management truly cared and did everything to make us feel happy and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my partner's birthday and he even got a beautifully decorated and delicious cake. Despite the few little problems we experienced, we liked the place and its facilities very much, so I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. And in fact, it was our first choice when we needed accommodation in La Paz on another occasion. Also, Met hotel is close to some of the best restaurants in the town.

It’s a new hotel and management should consider installing safety rails and measures to make the floor less slippery in the shower stalls. Also a hook to hang clothes/towel.
Amazing staff! Liked everything about the Met Hotel. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the fresh cuñapes.

Nothing to complain, however would be fantastic if there was a bar at the rooftop (which can be accessed but no drinks are served at the moment).
Extremely welcoming staff who were looking very well after us. Facilities are great and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. Will definitely be back!

Amazing experience, great hotel! Lot’s of choice at breakfast; fresh fruit and juices, pancakes, waffles, eggs etc. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing! The room is also very spacious and the curtains open automatically. And almost forgot! The welcome ‘snack’ is such a nice little treat.

The Met Hotel was super clean, modern and super comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and communicated excellently. Breakfast and food was also great. We went there for our honeymoon and they really made our stay feel special. I truly recommend this hotel if you want a touch of luxury while in La Paz!

Gorgeous hotel with very spacious rooms, comfortable beds, amazing showers. Pool, jacuzzi and sauna were amazing as well. Staff was super friendly, it was my boyfriends birthday and they let us check in early, check out late and prepared a delicious cake for him.
