We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room I had was a one bedroom with plenty of sitting area and very comfortable. It was quiet, and cozy, and had the simple amenities I wanted. Service was pretty good, given the language barrier. They try to accommodate my reasonable requests.

The location is very good, the hotel is nice and has a lovely garden. The weather was cold at the time of our stay so it was nice that the hotel had central heating and the room was pleasantly warm.

United KingdomWe couldn't find a reception when we arrived, nobody answered the bell and we had to call. The guy was frustrated because check in apparently ends by 7:30pm and we were the last ones to arrive although we've stated in Booking that our arrival would be between 7-8pm, arrive around 7:30pm. Nobody messaged us to say that this would not have been possible. On top of that, the same gentleman stayed in the restaurant long after we had dinner and went to bed so I don't see what difference our earlier arrival would've made. The place is nice and cozy, we just started on the wrong foot with the staff, I suppose, which ruined our otherwise pleasant experience.
The room was spacious, super clean, warm and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast was also delicious.

RomaniaStaff didn't speak a word of english, unfriendly, breakfast included but consist of 2 pancakes and no coffee. For coffee you have to pay separately. Only cash, be careful not to arrive there without leva. No ATM in the village.

AustraliaBreakfast was awful, and was charged extra for coffee even though I had breakfast included in the reservation. The landlady does not know a word of English or any of the main European languages, so communication wasn’t smooth. At check-in it felt like she was being interrupted and it was all rushed, even though I was the only customer in the entire complex the whole two days. The TV was useless. Right next to my room, about 2m from the two windows was the neighbour’s fence, and there, there was a large dog who kept barking relentlessly all night long. In the morning after the first rough night I asked the landlady if I could be transferred over to the other side of the complex where the noise of the barking dog would not be heard as loud. She lied and said that guests were arriving so, it is not possible. Therefore I had to endure a second (and thankfully last) rough night, even though the rest of the complex was empty. I didn’t even bother with the breakfast the next morning, better to fast.
