Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe hotel was alright, breakfast was alright compared to the price, staff was nice during breakfast, also the receptionist ladies were nice and helpful, smiling and being kind all the time, but the girl at the bar section -which was most of the time empty anyway- was incredibly rude and disrespectful getting into an argument with me about me taking a straw from the bar after waiting for her to get inside for minutes, she was too busy outside flirting with one of the pool boy, smoking cigarettes and drinking, even if me made eye contact and she noticed me waiting by the bar, she was taking her time getting inside, so I took 2 straws from the bar and left, but she stormed in questioning me why I’m taking her straws, telling me off in front of other guests and in front of my parents.I gave the straws back to her and told her to keep it, I ended up going outside and buy our drinks there since i simply didn’t want her to serve me, anyway the rest of the night she was busy outside with other staff members, saw so many times customers waiting for her, to finish her cigarette and coke and serve them without washing her hands. Your staff is lovely, but this girl kind of ruins our experience, I work in hospitality too, but never would allow myself to talk to a customer or simply just another person like she did to me.
It was comfortable, you got what you paid for, fairly clean, comfortable rooms, lovely view from my balcony.

FranceTook us some time to get used to the food (we only had breakfast) heavy with charcuterie, while we’re more used to sweeter stuff like croissants, cereals and fruit salads. As to the room, the bathroom was a little too smelly at times, there was only one plug (nothing on the bedside for your phone or tablet !) and the mirror ‘s position seemed a little strange: too low to see your face and too high to see your feet ! No to mention the pretty useless phone since it had no directory: how do you call room service or the reception if you don’t even have the number for it ?
The exceptional view and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff !

RomaniaRooms are small for the price and not clean. Breakfast was poor, cofee was miserable, drinks were cheapest. Old furniture, old elevators. It was ok if the price was cheaper. But for 100 Euro/night I can find much better options. At the bar, I ordered a cofee. The bartender cleaned the portafilter by literally inserting it inside the garbage bin and smashing it by the walls of the bin.
Location is close to the sea. Pool was nice.

HungaryThe breakfast is not that good, not even the quality, but at least the quantity has been good in the past years. This time even the quantity was not enough. The coffee is terrible - only instant, so unfortunately we decided to have breakfast at an outside restaurant from the 3rd morning. Some colleagues in the reception did not speak English. When we asked for our room number, 1216 as in twelve-sixteen, they did not understand what we wanted. So I asked them how to pronounce it so they would understand, and one lady said "Please tell twenty-sixteen!". 12 is not twenty, 20 is twenty. So this misunderstanding caused several funny discussions during our stay. But all in all, the Slavyanski is a great hotel with nice staff and a nice location, but there is always room for improvement.
We have stayed there for the 4th time, always coming back to a lovely location (less than 50 m from the beach) and we have always been given a lovely partially sea view room on the top floor, thanks for that. Special thanks to Martin for the shuttle and his wife Stasi (sorry if I spelt wrong), the lady in charge of reception. She is a real professional, knows almost all the guests, helps with any problem and really has a lot of experience. I would also like to point out that she speaks good English, which was convenient for us to discuss our problems with someone who understands. The pool bar is nice, with good prices and good drinks, there are many restaurants near the hotel with fast-food, or you can take the small train and visit the city centre. I am pretty sure we will stay at this hotel if we travel to Sunny Beach again.

United KingdomI arrived on the morning and the man from the reception sad no way to have a room earlier than 14:00 ,not because they don't have rooms ready ( hotel it was half empty) but because this is the policy. At 13:45 I asked again and they sad in 20 minutes. I found the staff very communist in concept and attitude. The hotel didn't looks like 3* hotel, must to be updated. No shampoo, shower gel, and swimming pool towels provided. Bathroom towels very old, and was changed only once, no cleaning in the room and bathroom in 6 days, just toilet paper and empty the rubbish bins daily. At dinner time you need to buy the water or to come with.
The hotel is located on the beach, lot of restaurants and shops around, swimming pool is big enough and clean. Food - not many choices but tasty. Anyway, good value for money.
