How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was all brilliant.
It was exceptional. The grounds and the property are tucked away and well kept, it felt like a quiet oasis set within nature, exactly what we wanted. It was lovely seeing the occasional monkey and other animals, and hearing the bird song in the morning. We’ve come back to the UK replenished and desperate to go back! Also a great location, a very short walk in the morning to Mullins beach (5 mins) which has some of the best food and drink options on the island in our opinion. Was lovely going for a morning swim at the beach each day. A special shout out to Bird and Delia, the owners, who made our stay extra special.

Was a great place to stay. Nicely tucked away within a 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. All perfect.

A few things in the condo required updating, but only minor issues.
Condo set amongst beautiful surroundings. Fantastic location. The hosts, Delia and Bird were extremely helpful and friendly.

Still a couple of things unfinished- but it’s a job in progress and they are doing it marvelously!

Everything about the accommodation was fantastic. The hots Delia and Bird made us feel like family and we would highly recommend this property for an extended stay. We will return!

Visited a few islands and places on this trip, this place was a pleasant surprise as it exceeded expectations. Relaxed hosts, very helpful and friendly. Very clean rooms and bathroom. Good shower, although I had cool showers only by choice. Good Wi-Fi. Comfortable bed. Very well equipped kitchen area. Other condos nearby,but feels very private and secure. Mullins beach just a couple of minutes walk away, with a small selection of bars and restaurants. Very useful petrol station shop closeby. Easy access to bus transport for Bridgetown or Speightstown. Very enjoyable stay

Beautiful large apartment, pool and gardens and wonderful hosts. Just across the road from a great beach and local bar. Very short drive (or local bus) to Speightstown shops and supermarket. Short walk to local restaurants.

Delia and Bird are exzeptionell and wonderful owner of the beautiful Legend Condos! They are amazing and fullfill every wish and recommend very good restaurants and other things to do! The garden is amazing and the wonderful beach is just two minutes walk! Everything is fantastic, like Delia and Bird! We will come back to this wonderful place and beautiful Barbados! Fabulous location - walking distance to several quiet gorgeous sandy snorkelling beaches. On direct bus routes and easy 15 minute walk to Speightstown if you want. Accommodation gods value and Earl and Delia the owners are top notch people. Real locals who can help with everything and are willing to do so. Highly recommended spot.

Bed and beddings could be a bit better, but it's not something that would stop me from going back.
Great location and amazing hosts. Delia and Byrd went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Plenty of advice on things to do and places to visit. Very friendly and really know how to look after their guests. Location is great with parking available, right next to a beautiful beach. It is going through some renovation but with no impact to amenities etc. Room was clean and with air-con and had everything we needed. Would definitely go back!
