The room was not as clean as it should have been, Some members of staff were not trained enough and they were not so helpful, one reception member was never seen smiling, some others were very helpful. I requested late check out and I was refused because the room was sold. I think 2-3 hours would not be a problem because most guests arrive late anyway. The property is old and some parts of it need redecorations or urgent improvements. The sea is never calm there, it is choppy, throughout the 9 days we were there only 1 day there was a yellow flag, every other day there was a red flag prompting guests not to swim. The food, although it was not bad, there was a limited no of restaurants with the same menu every day. There is space for improvement there.

There were a couple unfriendly staff. Following is one incident that led me to say so. We went by a carving station once and no one was there. My son went on to take his meat. The Mr came and saw him and raised his voice at him which was very distasteful. Also, my room weren’t properly well cleaned. I met a tooth pick that looked used on the floor. Also, when the lady came to clean my room, she saw the toilet dirty and did not clean. I had to tell her about it after seeing her again. Another day she came, past the toilet brush without the holder through the apartment before and after cleaning the toilet. Now I don’t have to say that it will drip on the floor.

We did not get the room configuration we booked on booking.com, they couldn’t change our room so our sleeping arrangements were not ideal. One day they took the towels from the room, we called room service three times and offered to collect but we didn’t get towels that night. On the last day our aircon broke and we had to move rooms, not ideal.

The staff were amazing, especially Deniko and the captain Lou. The food is great, lots of variety, we are pescatarian and found the menus great. Drinks service at the sun loungers. Enjoyed the yoga, gym and water aerobics. Free water sports.

Them damn birds flying around in the dining hall while you eating flying all over the tables dishes it was just too much. The breakfast needs help some people don’t eat pork they needed more of a variety. Some of the food that they had for dinner was wayyyyyy too salty. My room was amazing but the bathroom smelled like sewage. Staff was awesome I just had one problem with the staff I reserved for transportation from the airport to resort no one showed up I tried calling the resort no one answered the phone so I had to wait for a taxi that was available to take me to my hotel paid the driver the resort then turned around and tried to charge me a fee for a round trip back and forth to the resort when I only did one trip and that was to the airport and the taxi driver that took me to the airport tried to charge me $80 which that’s how much it is for a round trip.

The bathroom door in our room was broken and was replaced with basically a white piece of plywood which you had to kind of get some momentum going to close and then hope you could pry it open when you were done since there was no handle. I mentioned it to the housekeeper but nothing happened.

The breakfast was pretty good. Everything was buffet style. The dinners were lovely. Bring some “resort dinner clothes”. I didn’t expect it was going to be required and ended up going into town for a dress. The men need pants and a collar for dinner. The staff was very very nice for the most part. The best part was there were adequate lounge chairs. We never had to battle for a place to sit. Also the drinks were strong- not at all stingy with the alcohol. The bed was comfortable , AC worked just fine

The mattress cover was dirty and bathroom not as pristine. I called and they cleaned it quickly and apologized. The room was not as big as I thought given pictures. Paid the amount cuz I thought of the size I saw.

The reception area should be air conditioned. It can be a bit balmy in there on hot days and it just doesn’t give you that immediately relaxed and comfortable feeling you want when you check in at a hotel after a long trip. The beach has a sargassum seaweed issue, but this is affecting most of the Caribbean during the part of the year we were there (summer) and the staff does take the seaweed off the beach daily. There are other beaches close by that are less affected by the seaweed, no matter the time of year.

Exceptional food at every meal, wonderful free drinks, friendly staff, and easy access to the beach. The rooms were a perfect size, well decorated, and comfortable. I like that the property is outside of Bridgetown in a slightly quieter part of the island, but easy access to the city, airport, and other attractions if you want to venture out. Finally, I liked that the property was small enough that it was easy to get your bearings, yet large enough to keep you interested for a weekend. This is Barbados though, so be sure to get out and enjoy what the island has to offer during your stay!

this is an all exclusive hotel. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are pretty fine with multiple selections. The reception are very kind and professional, and give quick response to my requests.

Commencing our stay, we found that most of the staff, particularly the more seasoned individuals, displayed a discourteous demeanor that left us feeling like an inconvenience. Our visit to the rum bar was marred by an encounter with an unwelcoming, stocky man who failed to offer a greeting, wouldn't even make eye contact with us, and served us with noticeable aggression. The strange behavior extended to a fellow guest of the hotel who was also at the bar, sharing in our astonishment. Attempts at casual conversation were met with disinterest. Such conduct is simply unacceptable when on a holiday. Fortunately, some of the younger staff members were more pleasant. The accommodations left much to be desired, The room, situated in a dilapidated block, was accompanied by the disruptive sounds of barking dogs and peeling skirting off the walls. This block needs some serious TLC. As for the culinary offerings, they were disappointingly average, prompting us to seek dining options beyond the confines of the hotel throughout our stay. While the BBQ managed to meet a baseline standard, the claim of having five restaurants proved misleading. In reality, there was only one mediocre "fine dining" establishment, lacking stock even for basic items listed on its menu. The waitstaff, despite their kindness and friendliness, appeared untrained. In summary, our investment in this experience felt like a regrettable expenditure. Fortunately, our decision to relocate to the west coast salvaged our holiday, as we have encountered exceptional service and dining experiences there.

Food could have been better, it was inconsistent & too many buffets. Lunch very hit & miss, dinner 3 excellent meals out of 12 nights, the rest very mediocre & twice awful. I would like to add I stayed here in Jan 23 & it was much better, it has declined. Also we did not get the room we booked from the photos we were at the back of the hotel overlooking a tin roof - room 219 - possibly the worst room in the hotel. I will add nothing wrong with the room but the outlook was awful.

Breakfast was not good, very limited choice on offer, over nearly 2 wks hash browns only once, croissant twice. Poor value bread, fresh cooked eggs was the only plus. Lunch varied, dinner - not enough choice & too many buffets. Mostly good staff but you sure know it when you come across the rude ones!
