Didn't like that you had to choose between bacon or sausage or hash brown or beans . A full English is a full English! Also the mirror in reception was dirty it needs cleaning .First impressions mean alot. I saw the mirror and then thought what are the rooms going to be like! Thankfully they were clean and ok but overall I would go back.

The previously reported issues of very slow and disorganised service in the restaurant continues with the management seemingly unable or unwilling to address the problem. There is some noise on some nights from the surrounding bars etc.

Right on the great Dover beach with free beach loungers provided but you pay US$5 for an umbrella per day. Rooms are comfortable with good bathrooms a massive king-size bed and sea views on the beach side room we had. Breakfast was included in our room rate and we got a separate breakfast meal plan menu with 5 or 6 choices including one coffee/tea and one juice each. If you choose off the main menu you will be charged per item. So be aware! There is some noise on some nights from the surrounding bars etc. it didn't bother us but maybe not for anyone who wants a quiet time. A good selection of restaurants and bars are right on the doorstep in the Gap, from cheap good local fare to top end dining to suit all budgets. In summary a good hotel in a great location, with good facilities at an excellent price, recommended for couples or families alike.

Minor point. The hotel bar did not keep guests beyond happy hour. Very quiet. Everyone left for somewhere more lively. The hotel seemed to accept this. Otherwise all good.

So noisy around the hotel including land side, where although this was supposed to be quieter, there was often cars racing up and down the road behind us at high speed after the noisy bars stopped in the early hours. This with very uncomfortable beds meant very little sleep for anyone. I had read reviews about this before I went and thought ‘they’ll all just be whingy reviewers’ but it’s no joke that it is INCREDIBLY noisy at night, and very little done has been done in response by the hotel in terms of improving the sound protection within the rooms. The only other thing to watch is that although Booking.com references this as ‘breakfast included’ it was only included for 2 people, and we were a party of four. We ended up getting this removed at the end but odd that breakfast included wouldn’t extend to all guests? The breakfast experience is also very stressful, with the exception of Sundays where a buffet is on which is a much more pleasurable experience all round.

Great beachside location, it is absolutely stunning on the beach side looking out over Dover Beach from the beach bar. Our room was basic but sufficient and pool side view was lovely - the pool is rarely used because the beach is so lovely so it is a bit abandoned and not so looked after.

I liked everything but travelers might want to know that Barbados is extremely ezpensive and that traveling on the island is neither wasy nor cheap - one tends to get stuck hence the need to take this into account when booking a hotel - and to almost double your budget for food and transport
