Fairly standard, comfortable hotel. It has a restaurant, which is a great advantage to those without a car, because the hotel lies about 2 km from the nearest busstop. The staff was so kind to bring us to the busstop in the morning.

For some customers they try to sell you the beach loungers for €10 per day - I'm not sure why they do this as it never goes down well and customers are usually annoyed to be asked to do this - it's one of those bad business practices that likely hurt their reviews time and again. Beware that they also may try the "switcheroo" where they give you a lesser quality room than you booked.

It is pretty distant from the main city, not good for people with walking disabilities. Also there are three smaller set of stairs to access the beach, so if you have a walking problem this is not a hotel for you. Make sure to bring your water shoes because there are sea urchins at the entrance to the water.

Hotel has a private beach that is closed to the public. The food is awesome because they have a professional cook (I recommend getting at least dinner, or HB). It is on the quieter side of Neum.

We were so sad to leave that we booked it again for the following week. Everything was perfect! The breakfast, the private beachfront, the location, the nice rooms.....everything. I believe we will be spending a lot more time here in the future.

Accomodation is great and very clean, the stuff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is just across the hotel and there is beatiful terrace. There are beach chairs, sun umbrellas and cabine at the beach. We would like to come back again at Posejdon.

We experienced many inconveniences during our 7-day stay but I will highlight only few of them. 1- At midnight of the third day a real unpleasant noise woke us up, it was not possible to sleep again. We informed reception in the morning and the housekeeper came to our room , she heard the same noise and gave right to us. We requested them to fix the problem and the boss via reception said that it was an acceptable noise. Then we asked for a room change and they asked for extra money which we didn’t accept. So in the last 4 nights, we barely slept. 2- Although it was not highlighted during the booking and check-in process, they asked for money for sunchairs at the check-out day; 10 € per day and they said that they ask for this money only from booking.com customers. The funny part is our friend who also made this reservation via booking.com paid nothing during checkout one day ago. On top of that, they asked for money for 7 days, but we were not at the hotel minimum 3 days out of seven, because of our visits to Dubrovnik, Mostar,etc. They were literally lying. 3- Please be aware that this is a hotel of a rude boss and you are just trying to stay/survive in the hotel. In one rainy day, he smoked in the restaurant ( closed area) and we could not even finish our breakfast. During check-out , we refused to pay sunchairs’ money and he kind of expelled us from the hotel with his highest level of rudeness , aggressively saying “ go,go,go…” 4- The last but not the least no one can speak proper English, only the receptionist a little. All in all, we are travelling all over the world and it is the first time that we faced that kind of experience. If you are planning to visit Neum, please check the other alternatives, I guarantee you this is the worst hotel to stay!!!

We got a "family room" for 2 adults and 2 kids. It had one nice sleeping room, and then the second bed was a converted sofa - It was quite comfortable to sleep on but it was placed awkwardly just in front of the door to the room. There were only three chairs and in general the decor was old. The balcony was much smaller than in the photos, and some other rooms the balcony was in a dark corner of a public staircase. Parking was really tight, and we had to park in front of others (by instruction from the friendly staff). Breakfast was mediocre with stale break, brused melon, warm yoghurt and no fried bacon or sausage.

Location is great! Direct access to the sea and beautififul views from the room balcony (in our room) and the restaurant terrasse.
