Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesPillow, bed and tv that did not work.
When we arrived our television did not work, which continued for two days. (Never got a discount, or anytime of compensation, mistake 101 in hospitality)There was no spa and the only reason we stayed was because the stay. As far as the room, water pressure was great! The pillows on the other hand were the worst we have ever spent on.

Francea bit noisy - we could hear everything the next door people were saying no access to the beach even if the beach is not far. they should maybe negotiate to have a few chairs available on the beach for their customers. it would be a great added value. a bit costly knowing you dont have access to the beach
The hotel is great even if it is not next to the beach. the pool is nice and welcoming. however, you might struggle to get a chair if you arrive late. the bar is nice next to the pool and also a bar in the pool good parking access - we rented a car which is needed in Aruba if you dont want to depends on taxis the gym is great and accessible 24/7 with great equipment

United StatesI wish the hot tub and pool were open later than 9pm. We came to Aruba with friends who stayed at other resorts and their pools were open much later so we ended up going to their resorts to use theirs. Even if it were open until 10pm or 11pm that would have been nice.
The concierges were outstanding. Anything we needed they were happy to help with, even if it was just calling a cab for us. Our room was also very clean and comfortable.

United StatesThe bathroom didn't have any shower gel, etc. There could be more umbrellas poolside for protection from the sun but I'm not mad at the tan!
The beach is truly in walking distance, it's fun to take a Bird scooter which are often set in front of the hotel or nearby. Staff was amazing- Linda in dining was such a sweetheart, she went above and beyond in providing a stellar experience throughout our stay. Poolside was really fun- Nelson knows how to make a drink that'll pack a punch. The music selection was unmatched- we got Afrobeats, R&B, Reggae, Pop music and more. I appreciated the diversity in sound. The live band was cute too, I only saw them briefly before heading to dinner but the lead singer was good!

United States. Each night, we heard loud music playing in the nearby venue. It played until at least 3am and was quite annoying. Housekeeping wasn't automatic...you had to request it, which was a bit odd but otherwise not a major nuisance .
The location to the beach, shops, and restaurants exceptional. Having chairs available at the beach was really nice, too. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. We loved the staff! Everyone was warm and friendly, particularly Berny, the bartender! We loved him, and he took good care of us. Also, the pool area was beautiful!

RomaniaThe bed and pillows were too soft, not pleasant if you have neck problems. The pool area is nice, but there are relatively few loungers and not much shade.
The room was large and clean, in-room amenities as expected for a 4* hotel. I enjoyed having coffee on the small patio/ balcony. Breakfast was good. It was close to the beach (just cross the road and then go around Riu) - crossing the road was not a problem if you were careful, not many speedsters in Aruba. I didn't use the hotel shuttle, so n/c on that. It is located conveniently within walking range from both the many restaurants/ shops on the Palm Beach strip, and from Eagle beach, for a change of scenery.

United Statescons: so the biggest cons for me is about palm beach access. that the resort is close, walking distance, to the beach but first of all the path for getting to the beach is not a pleasant walk. to cross the street, for a part there is no sidewalk and you have to cross the bridge in the hotel parking lot which has the wastewater in it and smells terrible!!! its not something I would like to do in my vacation. And, when you get to the beach, there is no designated place for the hotel, I thought we can get an umber and chairs. I don’t mind paying for it but nothing is designated to this hotel. I know all the beaches are public in Aruba but, palm beach is basically all umbrellas from the other resorts, I believe the umbrellas can be used by everyone since it is in a public beach and you can tip the other hotels staff to bring a chair for you. but I feel like an intruder doing that. and I prefer going to eagle beach which has everything public and other resorts are not hugging the beach!! So I feel like staying in this place you get clean rooms, good food, and the night life but for me I wouldn’t say it’s walkable to the beach. for next time if I go there, I will rent a car and drive to eagle beach each time, or just take a taxi there. I believe if you want to enjoy palm beach you have to be in one of the beach front resorts…
pros: our room was very clean and we didn’t have any problems with that. the food at their restaurant is very very good quality at a very good price! it is walking distance to the nightlife and restaurants at irausquin street.

United StatesThere was an island wide power outage wherein we were able to use bathrooms because they’re weren’t able to flush, as well as there being no light obviously. We were told that this happens periodically however the hotel was unprepared. I feel like flashlights should be readily available if this is a reoccurring event that takes place.
Upon arrival, our room was changed from what was initial booked but we were not informed, and it wasn’t until I entered the room, that I realized and then it was explained to me.
