Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe building would probably need a remodeling very soon. However, after that the price point would be different.
The hotel is an old villa that was transformed into a hotel. It has a very relaxing & comforting vibe. I very much appreciated that the hotel provides you with beach chairs, snorkels, beach towels (changed every day) and some other beach necessities.

It’s so friendly and cosy place to stay at. The rooms are big and feature everything you need. The owner was so helpful to us in every questions we had and she made our stay so much better. Will absolutely recommend this hotel.

SwedenThe location is something to take into account. This is a quiet residential area what will require a 20min walk or so before you're in Oranjestad (which isn't necessarily a tremendous place, feeling a bit like Miami or some of its open-air shopping areas). Going to the beach will also require a car or a tour unless you brave 40-50min through unremarkable residential streets --- though the place does offer a "beach shuttle" drop-off twice every morning.
This is a super comfortable and cozy place --- one of those large two-storey houses with plenty of space, natural light, a breeze coming through, tables by the garden and a swimming pool. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast options are amazing. On top of it, Teska was a great host, professional and yet personable. I wish I could have stayed longer.

United KingdomIt was a beautiful property, but it didn't have a gym on site (though they provided us with yoga mats etc) and you did need to travel to the beach. These are not negatives, it's just things to keep in when booking - it's also why it is cheaper than the on the beach options.
Gaston and his friends were so lovely. My husband wasn't well when we were there and they did their best to keep us comfortable etc. It's within walking distance of great restaurants, food walking tours etc. The drop off to the beach is great too! We had a lovely time with them.

Beautiful place full of charm! Small property, with all the amenities and facilities you need for a wonderful, relaxing stay away from the crowds. Conveniently located 10 min by walking from downtown Oranjestad, it has a convenience store a couple blocks away. The beds are super comfortable and each room has its own designed, and small patio. Breakfast is additional but worth it as it is really tasty and well served. Everything was super clean and well organized, plus the room has many amenities for you to stay comfortably. Our hostess, Teska, was specially helpful and friendly and made sure all our requests were met, always with a nice greeting. I would definitely recommend this place and make sure to return in future trips to Aruba.

United StatesWe had a wonderful and relaxing stay at wonders. They offer everything that you may need on your trip to Aruba and have created a relaxing and inviting environment for all their guests. It was a great value for the price and a welcome change from the typical hotels/resorts in Aruba. I would definitely stay there again.

United StatesThe only bad thing we have to say is that the hotel is relatively far from the beach. The hotel staff does offer complimentary transport to the beach each morning but if that doesn’t fit your schedule, or for getting back, it can be a little inconvenient. A taxi to/from the beach is $20-25. We mostly used the Arubus which was fast, safe, and cheap ($2.50 per person) but the Oranjestad stop is a 15-20 walk from the hotel. Some of the commercial resorts also offer complimentary umbrellas on the beaches nearby while Wonders does not (though Wonders does allow you to bring their beach towels, snorkels, sports equipment, sunscreen, and beach chairs with you free of charge!!). Also at least for when we looked, the rooms at Wonders were significantly cheaper than at the high rises and that more than compensated for the transportation costs
The staff was exceptional and did everything possible to accommodate our stay, including allowing us to check into our room early, providing complementary transportation to the beach each morning, and being receptive to all of our questions. The upkeep of the property was fantastic, and the beautiful ambience of the property was tangible as soon as we walked in. It was consistently clean and well maintained, and the common outdoor garden (with a pool) was a lovely place to unwind. The other guests were also lovely -/ they were mostly quiet but very friendly, offering us extra drinks, etc. We also had breakfast there one day and it was very good and reasonably priced!! The location is in a mostly residential neighborhood and we felt safe walking around at all times of the day and evening, and it is a 15 minute walk to downtown Oranjestad (where there are some great restaurants). There’s also an amazing cafe, Les Cappuchinas, that is a 2-min walk from the hotel! Overall, we are really happy we chose Wonders and felt like we got a more personal, friendly, and authentic Aruban experience than we might have had we booked one of the high-rise resorts. Definitely the friendliest and most accommodating hotel staff I have had the fortune of meeting!!.

SwitzerlandIf you don’t have a rental car, the location is not ideal as the beaches as well as Palm Beach are not reachable by foot. The bus station is like a 10min walk away though and the city is reachable on foot.
The hotel is very cute and clean, the patio is beautiful and they even have beach chairs & snorkeling gear you can borrow for free! The staff was also very nice.

United StatesI don't think there was anything I disliked about this boutique hotel that is worth mentioning. It truly was a lovely hotel. We enjoyed our stay.
The property is simply a lovely boutique hotel with a pool. The grounds were beautiful and resident cat was a cutie. He will guide you to your room :) but I think he knows not to come in. The staff was always pleasant and greeted you with a smile. I asked for a bagel one morning, something I believe they generally do not offer but the next morning they had a bagel for me! Shuttle service was provided to take you to the beach (chairs and towels provided) but you are on your own getting back. Not a problem but if you are lugging chairs and such, you can take the bus to town center and then walk the rest of the way as we did. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend.
