Location - easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, pharmacy and town. Kitchen facilities - glasses, crockery and cooking equipment was excellent. Easy to prepare meals, only had to purchase food. Spacious living area.

The location is very central in Kingscote, just 1-2 blocks from the coast. The owner was very engaged and responsive. All was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen and fast WiFi. Nespresso coffee machine made my day, some free capsules were provided. And to top it off, the laundry machine helped us a lot! The owner even gave us some medical tips re: child physician when daughter fell ill. Thank you Genny for everything ❤️

Location OK but would have preferred closer to the actual town. No Breakfast. Only milk, tea, coffee provided. Bed was 2 singles put together so lump in the middle. Lots of things in the house - bit cluttered.

The apt is very dated and needs updating. The dryer did not work which was disappointing as we wanted to do laundry. There were no beach towels (supposed to bring our own??) - we were traveling from USA and had limited luggage.

The location was right in Kingscote where we wanted to be. The apt was available which was good as we booked last minute. It was clean, had a place for the car. The kitchen was well stocked with plates etc. Appreciated the there was coffee and milk available when we arrived. The owner was responsive when we had questions and wanted us to be comfortable.

Some few spots could have been little more cleaner. But we felt comfortable and the apartment was spacious. Nice big bathroom with washing machine + best: a separate toilet (comes in handy if you are 4 people).

We appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine with capsules. The fact that there was washing liquid was a wonderful gesture. Loads of space for the car to park. Nice little terrace. Supermarket and sea front is in walkable distance.

The shutters on the outside of the bedroom windows rattle in the wind and interrupt sleeping. They need adjusting or replacement. Some of the wooden chairs on the patio need to be tightened as they are getting wobbly and will get damaged.

Easy to walk to everything you need in town like supermarket and restaurants. Apartment was clean comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with plates,cutlery etc so we could make our own breakfast

The whole apartment was incredibly cluttered. I would personally take out all things that do not need to be there. There were things rattling everywhere outside, which made it hard to sleep...but this could have been due to the very strong winds.

We liked the space and the two bedrooms. We liked that we could do a load of washing halfway through our trip. Everything we needed was there.

I didn't get sent the access code for the lock box with the keys. I tried ringing the contact person but went through to voice mail. Fortunately, there is a second unit on the site and the couple there who were also on holiday had contact details for another person who I was able to get through to. But if they weren't there, I don't know what we could have done to get in.

The location was central and walkable to shops and the seaside. It was on a hill which gave a great view of the scenery and surroundings. The town of Kingscote is a quite town with friendly locals. The workers in the shops all seemed prepared to stop and have a chat. It makes for a very relaxing time. Kangaroo Island has spectacular scenery with opportunities to spot wildlife. The island is quite large with a relatively small population of about 5000. So if you want a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of city life, Kangaroo Island is ideal and Salty Air apartments are an ideal option for accommodation. Travelling aroung Kangaroo Island was very easy. There was hardly any traffic on the roads. The only issue was that there were some delays at some locations where the road workers were repairing roads.

Access to unit #1 is not very good, it looks like it is an after thought. Coffee machine continually leaked water on bench top, there was a pool of water on bench under machine when we arrived. Unit had a fireplace but unable to use as had sign on door not to use, if you have a fireplace in unit please make it useable as for our stay it was cold during nights. Rangehood over over was very dirty, oil over the pullout top & bottom, had not been cleaned for some time. Door from main room direct into bathroom could not be opened as carpet in room was too high, cut bottom of door to allow door to open.

Location was very good, short walk to supermarket & town. Coffee shops were great. Wineries were very good.

It was cold and wet for quite a lot of the time and the fireplace was out of order - would have been nice to have used it in the evenings. Bedrooms were a bit chilly, even with the blow heaters supplied to warm the room up before bedtime.

We really enjoyed our three days' stay here. The apartment was very well appointed with everything we needed to cook and do our laundry. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy our evenings, reading and good wifi meant we could spend time catching up on emails from home and work. Walking distance to some good places to eat and the excellent supermarket.

Salty Air Apt 2 was a good-sized, fully equipped 2 bed apartment. It’s located only about 150m from the main part of Kingscote, the largest settlement on KI, and close to the supermarket, a very good restaurant (Amadio) and the large Ozone hotel. We had a bit of a problem with a broken key in the lock which was fixed expeditiously by the proprietor.
