Everything was great.

The hotel is in a terraced villa from 1860s, overlooking a small park in the middle of Randwick. Fantastically charming, with stained-glass front door, real old furniture, floor mosaics... you name it. My room was spacious, very comfortable, and came with a fully equipped kitchenette (fridge, microwave, electric kettle, plates etc., even wine glasses and a corkscrew). Great for a longer stay when you don't want to eat in town all the time, or simply like to drink a mug of tea in the evening. There's even a washing machine and a dryer available to the hotel guests for a nominal fee. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and really nice. Easy access from Central by tram (L2), UNSW 20 mins away by foot. Coogee Beach 15 mins away by bus. Will stay there again if I am back in Sydney.

Nothing - it was all great and good value for money.

This hotel is a heritage building with a lot of character opposite a park. My room was on the 1st floor across a small landing from the main building, looking out onto a leafy green courtyard garden, so it was quiet and tranquil. If you like a modern style then look elsewhere - this hotel is traditional style, clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows, lovely clean bedding, plenty of windows that you can open, a ceiling fan, table and chairs and extra chair by the fireplace, en-suite shower room and small kitchenette area with fridge kettle and microwave. Room was as in the photos. Friendly reception staff and overall a comfortable and peaceful stay. It’s a slight uphill but pleasant 7 minute walk from the Lightrail stop (15 min ride from Central Station) and there are cafes and restaurants, chemist etc all within 3 minutes walk from the building. There’s also a nice cool shady veranda to sit out in at the front of the hotel where you can easily while away an hour with views of the park. I enjoyed my stay, felt safe (police station is at the end of the road!) and comfortable and would return again next time I need to stay in this location. Thank you for a good stay.

We arrived by train from the airport. I wish I had thought ahead to ask for detailed information to find the location precisely.

The room was quiet and spacious. It even had a lovely private veranda. It had a nicely stocked kitchenette, which was very useful. The location was in a very safe part of town with many amenities - shops and restuarants available. The staff were professional and very helpful. A big shout out to George for his kindness.

4th time at Avonmore, unfortunately this time a worse room, no outlook, previously loved everything about my stay, this time it was soso, it’s worth checking what room you’re getting, paying a bit more.

Very nice staff, George is looking after you and your needs as much as possible. He is helpful and efficient. The room is clean, quiet and comfortable while the location is just perfect. Given how central the location is it is surprisingly quiet right next to the park. Nice heritage buikding in great condition and maintained well.

The room wasn't sound proof, but that's ok for a short stay. When we were having some fun time after a long day at night and also had the TV on, we were asked to turned down the volume and reduce noise. Even though it wasn't that much at all.

Liked the hotel location that was close to quite a few attraction sites, including shopping and restaurants. Room was neat and tidy and had all the amenities required for a night stay. Staff were also very helpful in clarifying &/ fulfilling our requests, if any
