Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThere were no humans at check in, and it was all done at a computer kiosk. I didn't mind this, but it was a little slow and hung a few times which was a little confusing. Didn't really mind this, but it did take quite awhile at the end to go back to the home screen, so my details (room number) were left on the screen for anyone to see. This did worry me being a solo traveller. My advise would be to stay until the screen resets.
I was on my own, and I felt very safe. I could also see my car from my room so that was a bonus. I walked across the road and brought takeaway from the watermark to eat back in my room, and this worked well for me. There is a bakery a few doors down that I brought breaky from

Location, location, location. Right in the heart of Glenelg but away from the noise but overlooking the park and walking distance to everything in Glenelg. Car parking at the Motel was also a bonus. Rooms were smallish but adequate with small table and chairs, lounge and breakfast making (ie toast and coffee) making facilities. Every room has a small balcony facing out but as ours was a cheaper room we overlooked the city. Check in was smooth considering there is no receptionist. Would recommend.

AustraliaLack of staff, the tv was not a smart tv you get WiFi but can't use a chromecast as the tv components are in the wall and not able to connect. They had a blue ray dvd player. Best suggestion bring a laptop and plug into the hdmi that is accessible

AustraliaSheets on the bed did not cover the mattress. There was a lot of street noise, which may bother some people. If we had a problem after 5pm, there is only emergency contact. Luckily there were no problems. No check in staff. Toilet roll and tissue dispenser impossibly close to toilet.
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The check in process was smooth, although impersonal. The location was excellent. Walking distance to Coles, top restaurants and cafes, and Glenelg Beach. The mini bar was very inexpensive. Only $7 for a can of beer. Only 2 beers though.

AustraliaThere is no reception staff, checkin is done via a kiosk. Any issues are dealt with via a phone call to staff working remotely. It would be nice to have a more personal touch.
Great view, very clean and comfortable rooms. Great location very close to the centre of Glenelg without the noise of staying closer to the pier.
