We really enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Arriach and liked their concept of family run business. The hosts were absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere was warm and family like. This place is exceptional! If you go there skiing, it’s easy to get from the guesthouse to the ski resorts Gerlitzen Alps (5 minutes by car, big parking lots from this side of the hill).

The accommodation is very nice and clean and it was very pleasant sleeping there. It is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, we even saw a deer next to the backyard. Breakfast is included and it is very tasty. The host family is kind, helpful and always at your service.

I had the opportunity to stay in Carinthia to attend the European bike week early September 23. I’ve chosen the Gasthof Arriach in the village of the same name to rest after long days riding around. I have visited already many places, but never before had I been welcomed in such a personalised way. The owners are so kind, the rooms are great and the quality of the bed amazing. After a good night, I’ve enjoyed delicious buffet breakfast with homemade food, mostly outside, benefiting from great view on the surrounding forests from the terrasse. At the of the day, same peaceful atmosphere to have a delicious diner with a glass of beer or wine. I definitely recommend this place for those who like to recover from the daily life or after visiting the area. I’ll be back for sure, with my walking shoes, hunting deers with my camera, or just for enjoying the sound of cows bells and rivers running water, songs of birds and viewing amazing landscapes. At Gasthof Arriach, you’ll feel like you are in a cocoon, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the everyday life, but still close to all the best sites to visit in the area.

The bathroom was a bit too tight.

The location is superb and quiet, you are in the middle of nature. Large courtyard with the possibility to play outdoor ball games. All food is fresh and quality ingredients. The service is very friendly and attentive.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. The owners went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity for our daughters to feed and interact with the sheep.

Everything was amazing. The owners, room, food and the beautiful night sky. The nature with wild animals nearly visiting the hotel and their own Shaun the sheep you can feed.. I hope we will be back one day. Dream stay.

The hosts are really friendly and helpful, taking care that guests can enjoy and have a good time. The breakfast was nice, so we had a good start before the skiing day 😉 Although we stayed only for one night, we had a lovely chat and enjoyed listening to their story about how the whole family moved to Arriach and started with the new life here. We hope to come back again and wish you guys all the best!
