It is really not specific to this hotel only, but here we could only pay with cash, no credit cards. Not really a bad thing, but be prepared and have some cash with you for the payment. Albania in general is still growing in the touristic area, and accepting cards in more locations is a part of the process.

This hotel was incredible, we really appreciated staying there. Such a good location, right at the beach. Friendly staff, good food for the breakfast (and more if you would like to have dinner as well, like we did), amazing comfortable room, parking place... We absolutely loved our stay here!

It’s a family run hotel but the uncontrolled children running about screaming in the restaurant was annoying No drinking water provided in rooms.

Family run boutique hotel, perfectly located, serving excellent Albanian food. We would absolutely recommend it. Don’t expect the typical big brand hotel experience with the same food and amenities all over the world. Rather, experience the Albanian hospitality and fresh food we’ve come to appreciate along our first journey in Albania.

We had a lovely few days at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean and was serviced everyday. The hotel is situated right on the beach and you have use of the sun loungers opposite which was great! The restaurant is very good - we tried a lot on the beach front and think this is the best both in terms of value and quality of food. My partner and I are vegan and we enjoyed the food on offer (eg: salads, pizza no cheese, vegetables) and having eaten there a few times, the waiter was very kind to offer a vegan pasta which gave us some variety. As vegans, breakfast was very limited (bread and jam) but this would not be unique to this hotel as Albania as a whole is not very vegan friendly (yet - we hope!). The receptionist was lovely, very friendly and kind enough to organise a taxi to take us to Himare. Overall, a very positive stay and would recommend highly.

On the beach a lot of beach bars with extrem noisy music, it was really horible to be bothered by this music from the morning till the midnight.

Next to several beach bars which played loud music until 3am which is normally not a problem, but it is when extremely tired and want to sleep and hear thus constant beat in your hotel room.

Nothing, all was wonderful.

We could check in early no problems. With manoeuvring, they managed to make room for our car in their carpark at the back of the Hotel on site. Make sure when you are driving and want access to the Hotel’s Car Park that you come in from the main road above the Hotel, not along the beach road. Reception is easier accessed from the carpark with only a few steps up, rather than from the front where there are several steps from the beach front and the about 12 or 13 steps up to the 1st floor. Our room was on this level, so no more steps with our luggage, phew. Stairs only to reach other levels but the higher you are, the better the views. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Looks like a family run affair so a lot more relaxed and friendly. Their beach restaurant serves great food, super fresh with super smiles. A very popular restaurant. Breakfast included was all you could eat A la Carte whether be continental and cooked or just whatever is on the menu. Apparently the pancakes are small doughy fried local fare. Location is awesome so close to other bars/restaurants and of course the beach at your front door. Parking a good bonus. The staff certainly helped make this stay the best.

Lots of construction and the beach is gravel so not pleasant to walk on! But the hotel was nice, no complaints or issues with the hotel.

Missing a communal place to hang out in outside the room, that is more chill than not the busy restaurant.

Friendly and helpful receptionist, nice sea views, pretty decent privacy as the rooms are set behind the restaurant facing the boardwalk. Good location just of the beach.

If space matters to you, book a standard triple. The standard double is somewhat small. We were there the 3rd week in September, and were not aware that many things around had already closed down for the season. With that being said, it was great to have smaller crowds. All in all, Dhermi was a great location, and the Royal Blue was the perfect hotel for us.

Location (beach front), all rooms have a balcony, and look out over the sea. Great value, and beautiful view. Attentive staff. Clean. Breakfast included. Beach bar and restaurant. We had a couple of loud neighbors beside us who were shouting in the hallway at night.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the place is at a beautiful beachside and we had access to beach beds during our stay. We also received local thyme and tea from Himara :)
