Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe address provided for the hotel is not correct so we hard some difficulty finding it. The Hotel is actually on Google Maps so just follow that instead of the address listed.
The room was big, modern bathroom. A comfortable stay and had the bonus on car parking. We wanted to visit Dhermi town and the receptionist organised a return taxi service for us.

Sweden- not exactly spotless in the bathroom, not dirty either though, nothing too serious. One of the towels was very dirty, and then shower gel/shampoo and the soap liquid were not filled up and were barely enough for our two-day stay.
- very nice location in the old town of Dhermi, good for strolling around the nice cobblestone streets and for catching cool views over the riviera. Easy to find parking if you coming by car. Good steering point for explore nearby beaches. - the host was super nice and welcoming, he gave good advice about what to do in the area - Our room was renovated and the view over the coast was super nice

United KingdomRoom was a little cold and there was nowhere to eat in the old town
The location in the old town was amazing - so much nicer than the beach area! The host was very friendly and the room was big

New ZealandNo complaints. We wished there was a small serving area to boil water and borrow a mug for a cup of tea.
This home is located in Old Town Dhermi and had several self contained rooms with ensuites. Our room was quiet and it's only a short drive to Dhermi beach, where we ate our meals and relaxed on the beach. The bed was comfortable.

United KingdomWhile the village was nice, it is quite far away from the beach, especially if you don’t have a car (it takes 45 mins to walk there). There is also a big dog that barked at us every time we walked up to the property, and there is no sign on the door so it was hard to find. Lastly, while the owner was very friendly, he doesn’t speak English so there were a few communication issues.
Located in a very old picturesque village which was great to wander through. The rooms were also very clean and spacious, and the owner was friendly and helpful.

MalaysiaMaybe the bed wasn't too comfortable but it wasn't too big of a deal. The owner/operator speaks Italian/Albanian only so it was quite difficult to ask questions - though we didn't need much, as it was only one night.
It is located in the middle of the beautiful old town. The room is spacious with lots of storage space, and our room had a beautiful view of the village and the sea!

AlbaniaAlthough newly renovated ...many of the amenities were damaged or not properly fit maybe. like the shower door could not close for example. It was generally clean, the sheets and towels which are most important were clean, but the shower could be cleaner to be honest.
I loved the quietness and also the fact that it was newly reconstructed. Sheets were pretty clean and overall was a nice place. The owner was nice and welcoming. The view and location were pretty nice also. Right in the heart of the old town. Generally was a nice stay.

ItalyWe had mosquitos in the room that made sleeping quite challenging. Even though we notified the owner in advance that we would have needed an hair dryer, he couldn’t find it; when he managed to find a very small one, it was broken. He gave us another small one, this time functional.
Good value for money. Room quite spacious. Peaceful environment. Parking quite close to the accommodation.

United KingdomNo name on the front so hard to locate and no one there for check in but a local lady nearby helped us contact the owner who let us in fairly promptly.
In the centre of the old town, which is beautiful, we watched the sunset from the church. Modern room, everything you need.

United KingdomWhen we went to check in there was literally nobody there. There was also no sign for the hotel so we were second guessing whether it was actually the hotel or not.. The hosts had gone to the beach, which I feel was a little irresponsible had they known guests were expected, and they werent answering the phone either when we reached. it wasted some time from precious day light and was quite hot so that wasnt appreciated. Also be mindful that you need a car to stay here as its not walkable at all from the beach or restaurants etc.
The room was exactly as expected from pictures etc. It was minimal and tastefully done. The hosts were very welcoming.

KazakhstanIf you have problems with walking better choose some place closer to the sea. Hard to get out of the village on the bus, it is better to come here with your own car
Good clean hotel, great host (but doesn't speak English 😊), location is fine for those who want to go to the canyon, the beaches are far.

AustraliaClean room, bed very comfortable, shower hot and strong! Great value and affordable in late April. Beautiful view from our room out to the ocean. As we visited before summer season started in May, it was very quiet around the old town and down at the beach. Remember to have cash to pay! Cards not appreciated by locals.

PortugalThe noise poor room isolation
Confortable room but I booked a room which said mountain view and didn't get it. Also the noise was unbelievable. I don't understand why the owners and guests were screaming in the morning at 7.30h you could hear the bathrooms in the other rooms, blow-driers, people coughing, everything. You really need to improve the isolation of the rooms. Otherwise it's impossible to sleep
