mostly everything , Mikael and Irine were so helpful and super kind treating with the guests. I felt like home while living in a lovely green garden house . A/C are in all rooms in the house. Internet was fast and WIFI was everywhere in the house . We had lovely traditional Albanian food made by Mikael and Irine . hope succeed and getting wealth for them

Bit of a walk into town, but you can rent bikes, and hosts even gave me a free lift for early bus.

Had an amazing time staying here, the host where immense and went out of their way to make sure their guest had an enjoyable stay, whether hosting in the evening with BBQs or helping with booking for the hike and day trips. Rooms very clean, breakfast very good.

The Guesthouse is wonderful, it has a lush garden with turtles, cats and a dog - our children loved it! But the best of the stay are Irene and Mikel, they are the most lovingly caring hosts I have ever seen!!! Faleminderit!!! We hope to come back again.

Location is 30 min away from public transport. Going there by walk is feasible, but has t be anticipated.

This hostel is by far the best I have ever been in Albania. The hosting family is very kind, engaging and helpful. The house is large and has a very beautiful and green garden. There are adorable pets as well. I definitely felt at home there and it was pleasant for everybody to relax in the garden is these summer time. The hostel organises as well tours and activities for its hosts

- the location is a bit out there .. 20+ minute walk to the centre and not much else around . There is a grocery store though within a 5-10 minute walk .

- the owners are so lovely and helpful . We felt at home, and loved to talk to them - the grounds are perfect for meeting people - so many inviting common areas to relax inside and outside the building - the hosts helped to seamlessly organize transport to valbona - family room is spacious , clean and comfortable - the kids loved the turtles all over the grounds . What a Highlight for them !! - cats and dog are super friendly and nice to have pets around the grounds - convenient to leave car while going to valbona-Theth , although there is a charge for it that we didn’t expect until we arrived. All good, it makes sense.

Great place in a nice neighbourhood. Amazing friendly owners and a really pleasant garden to enjoy. The place is nicer than the pictures with a nice new coat of paint. The breakfast was awesome too, would definately recommend!

The breakfasts started a bit too late for us (at 8 o'clock). Otherwise, we have no comments, we were very satisfied with the accommodation, so we can not find anything to say that we did not like; we like that place very much.

Good location as a starting point for trips to the hills. The very friendly hosts offer help in organizing mountain tours and shere a lot of information for trips. The apartments are neat and clean. The breakfasts (included in the price of the accommodation) are good.

It is an oasis in the middle of a chaotic city, realy perfect. With a biiig garden with thees. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. Though he had his family visiting, he was always avaliable. The room was good size, comfortable... Perfection!! Would come back!

Michel and Irena couldn't have been more welcoming during my stay here. They both helped in their own way. Helped me out getting to the mountains and reimbursed me when I didn't need some tickets in the end. They loved taking their guests into Shkoder for food and drinks. Breakfast was brilliant. The surrounding gardens were just delightful and the atmosphere in the hostel was perfect. The only downside was it was quite stuffy in the bedrooms with the lack of aircon. But overall, I would recommend this place wholeheartedly.

The guest house is a nice family house with a beautiful garden, I really liked the vibe of the place. Mikel and Irena are great hosts and very helpful. Mikel knows a great deal about the area and even further away, he always has time to answer your questions. This is one of the things I appreciated the most: both are always available to provide you with information about everything (from where to eat in town to how to get a ferry from the mountains), they always take time for the guests. I stayed in a dorm that had curtains on every bed, so you can still have your privacy. Each bed also has its own little shelf, lamp and socket. Lockers in the dorm. Breakfast is nice, place is clean. It's a bit of a walk from the center but easily doable.

The place to be in Skhodra! Lovely animals, beautiful garden with a lot if chill out places and vegetables, great rooms and comfy beds, relaxed atmosphere, best breakfast, Mikhel and Irena are just awesome and caring a lot. If you wanna have a place where you can feel like home during traveling, you have to go there.

The Green Garden Hostel is a perfect little paradise!!! My friend and I had originally just booked one night and ended up staying three because it was just too good to leave. Mikel and Irene really make it feel like you're at home, surrounded by family (including many turtles, Tia the sweet dog and Serious and Black the adorable cats). Mikel and Irene are the kindest people and we spent a lot of time together - sitting in the beautiful garden until late in the night with the other guests, taking trips to different places around town and sharing a lot of stories and insights. It's really easy to tell that they do what they do because they love it. Mikel also shared many great recommendations with us so that we could get to know beautiful Shkodra from a local perspective.
