Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe Pineapple Grille was a very nice place to eat at night, but it would have been nice if they could have changed the menu a few times instead of having the same thing to eat every night.
It was very relaxing and a variety of things to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful! A couple of restaurants to pick from for lunch, dinner, they bring you drinks while you are laying in the sun!!!! What more could you ask for!!

United KingdomFood apart from breakfast was pretty mundane and passable at best. Some thought it was good but in the main it wasn't that good apart from some of the buffets. some of the pastries were however, excellent. Pretty awful with thumping music a lot of the time and the poolside Pelican restaurant you need to be very wary of - ordered chicken wraps a couple of times and gave my partner the "runs". saw that when ordering the second time, they pull the chicken from a counter unit (no idea if it is cooled), make the wrap and then re heat on the grill AND NOT to the correct temperature. Food can be reheated in the main BUT it must be at least or above the recommended temperature and this certainly wasn't; same with the chicken wings. This place may as well be the 51st State of the US - so if you like loud Americans then great, if you don't: don't bother. Even the Canadians that were there hated this aspect. And AVOID at all costs buying bottled water from the shop unless you really like being ripped off - it's USD6.00 a bottle for a litre. Of course that is still bellow the Airports USD9.00 a bottle. All in all its certainly not 4 star. A hotels star rating should be fairly uniform across the world so this is probably no more than an upper 2 or lower 3 - Certainly not a 4 star if one is to compare say, a Raddison Blue which is, in the main, a 4 star. Staff were absolutely wonderful of course which one expects in the Caribbean. The room we had was an Ocean view but it was in poor condition. One King bed which was OK, and the aircon was excellent. Furnishings were spartan; one chest of drawers and a couple of bedside units and a table and one chair, all of which had seen better days. Curtains that were awful in that they were threadbare and with a multitude of holes and didn't even reach the floor allowing in a vast amount of light.
Location was excellent. Good beach etc.

United KingdomI didn't like having to wear a mask, especially in areas that were well ventilated. In your confirmation (Booking.com) you said that we had all inclusive of all local taxes, yet when we checked out we had to pay an extra USD 298 for local charges and Tax. I didn't like the fact that there wasn't any bottled water in the room, in fact if you wanted water in the room you had to go to the bar with your own receptacle and ask for it filling. The majority of the staff were great, but a handful were lazy, unhelpful and couldn't care less even if the saw you waiting. The room was tired and needed refurbishing in particular, the laminate flooring in the bathroom had worn out and could have damaged your feet if you were not careful.
The breakfast and food in general was good but had slow delivery. The location was isolated but the view were idyllic. The outlook grill, up the hill was good and had a fantastic vista.

United KingdomI found the food very poor, being a vegetarian there was very little choice at the buffet (one night I had boiled potatoes & steamed veg for my evening meal) even the al la carte restaurant pineapple grill offered no main vegetarian meals I had a starter as my main course. I did provide feedback to the hotel and the did attempt to make something for me which was good but there should be some vegetarian things to eat without having to complain about it. Having been to a few Caribbean islands we find the food amazing packed full of flavours and hot but this wasn’t the case at pineapple beach club even my partner (who is a meat eater) said there wasn’t a big variety of food. If the hotel sort this out it would be a really nice place to go for a holiday
Location great -set on a lovely beach, waterfront rooms nice & comfortable, good facilities, pools/ tennis/gym/ water sports & the coffee shop is a nice addition.

United StatesPineapple Beach Club is beyond incredible!!! Beautiful property, very easy to navigate, has several great pools and lots of beautiful beachfront space with an abundance of umbrellas and lounge chairs available. The room was huge with a private porch that opens up to both the garden and beachfront area. You must have the bbq lunch at “the outhouse” on the hill. So delicious with fantastic views! The bartenders were not stingy with the alcohol servings (another huge plus), there are several lovely beachfront dining options, fun land and water sport activities included too. Really everything you could possibly need is provided. The staff was so welcoming and genuine throughout the entirety of our stay. We were blown away by the hospitality. Other guests were so delightful and friendly as well. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Antigua!
