Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo dislikes... All good
Our stay at Jolly Beach Resort was short but sweet! We arrived Friday afternoon and checked out Saturday to leave for a week long catamaran sail out of Jolly Harbour. The location was convenient, lovely and comfortable. Food was delicious and the staff were friendly! We would come back again when visiting Antigua 😁

United StatesThere is nothing to dislike about this place.
The beach and pool facilities were excellent. Dinner and breakfast was also excellent. However, my diet contains no meat only sea food and that was lacking. The executive chef and Sous Chef were very accommodating and ensure that I got fish to eat for my stay. I applaud their efforts. Thanks

AustraliaThe location right on a huge stretch of white soft sandy beach is the hotels greatest asset. As such was such a shame that after couple days of gusty SE trade winds typical for time year washed ashore some seaweed no attempt was made to clear it from the beach except for a section of beach reserved for cruise ship daytrippers. Would have thought paying hotel guests took priority!
Fabulous stay located on probably best beach in Antigua. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Beachside bar opened up whilst we were there which is a great place to enjoy a few cocktails at sunset. Food was plentiful - beachside grill for daily lunch and Sunday Beef roast complete with Yorkshire puddings were standouts. Being able to utilise our all inclusive wristbands and access to a room to have a shower on day of departure prior to an evening flight were greatly appreciated. Overall excellent value for money - highly recommend. Pity is so far away from our home in Australia!

United KingdomBetter selection of food, yoghurts, although there were in a plastic container which didn't look too good. Spinach every day.
Poor breakfast choices, very repetitive, old utensils and container badly displayed, baked beans were watered down on many occasions to stop it drying out. The same for the porridge.

United StatesI understand that this is a budget resort, but there was a very bad fly infestation during my stay and they were every where except the rooms. The flies were pretty much throughout the resort, and it was never handled. I was informed that the flies were there due to it being "fly season," then I was informed that they were there because a hurricane has just past through and then the weather got increasingly hotter. Also, the facility had encountered a water main break, which resulted in the water being off for 10 hours and that meant not having access to anything other than canned sodas and alcohol. There was also the fact that the gym was pretty much inoperable; the treadmill, ellipticals, and cycling bikes were all not working. However, there were a few weight machines that were working. Another major gripe is the fact that the resort doesn't serve any native foods, they grow breadfruit on the grounds along with other great vegetation, but never served any. It would do wonders if this resort just extended their food variety especially at breakfast, after all who doesn't want to eat the foods of the Caribbean.
The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful and they pay every attention to the outside detail, every room has an ocean view which is such a great touch. The resort is right by the beach and you can literally see the beach from your balcony. Also the staff is amazing and professional even when working in a harsh environment.

United KingdomOnly complaint is the water was off on 2 of the days.. but there was a hurricane blowing through on one of the days so things like this can be expected then..
Brilliant staff, location, food and drinks were good.. we had a blast.. if you want 5 star/luxury then pay for it.. this place is awesome value for money and half the price of the cheapest other alternatives on the island..

Trinidad and TobagoThe resort could definitely benefit from a few upgrades but for the price and location it's still a steal!
The staff were very friendly and approachable, the location was perfect, the beach was just sparkling blue and calm. The accommodation was adequate for the price as well as the food. I have no complaints. The pools are also lovely and the nightly entertainment/DJ made it fun too.

Trinidad and TobagoDid not like that there was only one place to get lunch, one of the pools was very dirty, cleaning of rooms should be done more regularly, the room we stayed in was leaking in our bathroom area. The air condition was not working properly, the room had 110 volts appliances but did not have places to plug them. Some staff members were not at all pleasant.
We loved the location of the resort. It has one of the best beaches. The resort grounds were very well maintained. Some staff members helped make our stay special.

Well we had none of this, if your looking for a 5 star Prestige hotel with fancy Rooms it’s not for you… but if u want a paradise beach and location with a nice comfy bed and air con In your room then this is for you :)
The property is on a stunning location the beach and sea is incredible! The hotel is is a lovely typical carribean vibe hotel! Pictures match the rooms perfectly! We have just returned and already wanting to go back! Pictures don’t really do it justice

United KingdomWe had a terrible experience at the Jolly Beach resort. Our air con had broken in the room and was dripping down the wall & onto the floor. The receptionist and manager were rude in trying to sort it out. We waited 3 hours before they fixed it after we waited outside the managers office trying to communicate with her. They finally fixed the air con after 3 hours after refusing to move us to another room but left the muddy water all over the floor. We asked for a cleaner twice but no one ever showed up. The staff seemed unhappy to work there. The resort also is tired, old and needs a good refurbishment. Don’t stay here if you want a relaxing, comfortable place to stay!
Beach is lovely & large. Staff in the Pizza Factory were great and very attentive.

United KingdomIt would have been good to have equipment to sweep our bathroom floor with as the room is only cleaned once a week unless you pay for it to be done whilst you are there.
The staff were all really friendly and very helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. The food was very good with an excellent selection at breakfast every morning. The A La Carte menu at the Pizza Factory was very tasty and well presented and the buffet evenings gave variety too. All of the food was very good. The resort was quiet because of the time of year i.e. off peak in June but we enjoyed that as we didn't have to queue for breakfast or drinks. We often had the swimming pool to ourselves and the beach was not crowded at all. The Jolly Bay Beach is absolutely gorgeous with 2 miles of white sand and very calm and clean sea.

United Kingdom1. The Pool bar closes, daily, at 4:45 pm to allow staff to catch the 5.00 pm bus home. Awful way to restrict paying guests who then have to go to a bar near to the lobby for drinks as no waiter/waitress service to the pool or beach area. Often no staff at the alternative bar so had to wait for any kind of service. 2. For an all inclusive resort we were astonished that we were forced to use specific restaurants for lunch and dinner on different days of the week. On other occasions, at other resorts / countries throughout the Caribbean there have been a number of restaurant options for lunch and dinner every day. We did not like having to plan our meals based upon a schedule printed at reception, in fact we had to take a photo of the restaurant schedule to have any hope of going to the correct one at the appointed time. This was not publicised on the Booking.com app when we were researching our holiday location. 3. Free Water sports - or rather the lack of any water sports. 4. Approximately one third of the resort was closed for renovations. This area included the main restaurant which we didn't see at all. 5. The second, smaller, pool was rendered unusable because of the closeness of the renovation works being carried out beyond a very flimsy black tarpaulin screen. 6. Entertainment. The first six nights this consisted of a 'DJ' who was almost entirely invisible the whole time. On the 'Caribbean dinner night' there was a steel band - if it could be called that. There were two guys playing steel drums and a drummer playing a regular drum kit and this ruined the whole sound. The regular drummer was often out of time with the 'pans' or played 'fills' where there shouldn't be. A very amateur performance - far below our expectations for the Caribbean. 7. The room spec on the Booking.com app said there was a single power point by the bed.
The beach and the sea.
