False advertising: the hotel mentions a private beach and being beachfront, which is not true. I wouldn’t have booked it should I know this was the case. I urge the hotel to remove your feature, and have already sent a complaint to Booking.com Hidden costs: we were charged an additional fee not disclaimed in Booking.com, which is fine as long as it would have been displayed but it wasn’t. The included breakfast is just yogurt, some pieces of fruit and a slice of bread, a muffin and a small pastry per person. For eggs, you need to pay at least 15USD extra. Room facilities: the kitchen area was poorly supplied, nothing left to wash dishes, 2 cups and one plate. That’s all. Additionally the electricity breaker kept jumping even if using one appliance.

The staff was super kind and accommodating (particularly Claudius!) and the hotel decor was lovely, and historic. The location within Nelson’s Dockyard is also nice. There’s a beautiful kitten living in the property. The bed is comfy, and the fans keep the room cool (no need for aircon at night).

Room could have been better equipped it was very basic for an expensive room I booked this hotel because of its age and setting but was disappointed that there was no info or history of the hotel/building, no local info. Hotel bar/restaurant: expensive for drinks compared to other local bars and no evening food service, no room service.

Continental Breakfast was ok, setting brilliant in the heart of English harbour, historical building, staff were really helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was a little confusing - we didn't realise the egg options were included as the menu suggested this was extra USD$. Would also recommend a little more lighting in the rooms!

Fantastic location in a quirky and once in a lifetime hotel. Well maintained, clean and authentic. Lovely staff. You definitely get a copper and lumber experience!

There is nowhere to relax outside that has any degree of privacy - there is whole of Nelson's Dockyard to explore. It was a shame that the boat trip over to Galleon Beach, the only place nearby to swim and chill was not complimentary.

Breakfast was in a great location - it could have been a little more generous with the fresh fruit portions !

Really nice location with really friendly staff and a nice restaurant. Also a nice selection of restaurants close by. Loved the old building feel of the hotel which makes it such a unique experience vs the usual resort or city hotel.

the breakfast could be better , there are limited choices the building is charming and well restored , the furniture is elegant and stylish the nearby dockyard is wonderful It is a 2 stories building and there are no elevators to the second floor and if you carry heavy luggages nobody is helping you

See above - they could do better on breakfasts with more options available.

The location of this hotel was wonderful - especially early morning and from mid-afternoon when the day trippers had gone. Our room was lovely and full of historic touches. The staff were super helpful and so friendly. Our only disappointment was the breakfast.

Our family of three (two adults and a five year-old child) had a wonderful stay at the Copper and Lumber Store. The location was breathtaking, the property was beautiful, and the staff were phenomenal. Every single hotel employee engaged our little boy in friendly conversation, remembered his name, and asked him about his experience on the island throughout our stay. It made him feel so welcome and special, and really impressed upon us their kindness and truly exceptional hospitality. We can't wait to return and enthusiastically recommend this hotel!

It is a little creaky & not super noise insulated - nothing to be done about this but if it’s windy outside you will probably know about it.

Incredible location and historic furnishings. The feeling of the place is quite exceptional for the Caribbean in terms of heritage and atmosphere. Had some of the most exceptional Bloody Mary’s of my life.
