How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The kettle in the room had a European plug, the sockets are all UAE sockets. There was no socket near the kettle! The hotel is decent but 'shabby-chic.' Could do with an update considering the price.
Fantastic staff throughout the hotel. 5-star service and helpfulness.

Very close to the beach. If u r just looking for a place to stay and u just want to enjoy the public beach where u can swim anytime this is a pretty good hotel... simple hotel. Ul get what u pay...

Everything was ok!!!
I can see some people complaining... week, what do you expect from this pricepoint? The room is clean, the staff is nice and friendly. No bad smell, no cockroaches. Nice place!

There were no interconnecting rooms which prove very handy for big families.
Its location in Dadhna, very close to Aqah. The Property has a very good restaurant with excellent breakfast. Parking facility was also satisfactory. Swimming pool was decent size for relaxation within the hotel.

The proximity of the main street make it noisy at night. The night I was there, the people on the other roms were banging doors and speaking very loud.

I just had one snag. Around 6 in the morning, a staff member from the hotel tried repeatedly entering the code to enter into my room. I woke up and when I opened the door, he just blankly stared at me for almost 10 seconds and then walked away. I did complain about this to the lady from the reception and she apologized but this type of behavior should never have happened.
They have re-painted and built a new restaurant downstairs. The lady at the reception was kind enough to provide us with the kind of room we wanted. Everything was clean and great for the price.

However, my experience at the hotel was not without its challenges. The most significant issue I encountered was the lack of hot water during my shower. This inconvenience was further exacerbated by the low water pressure, which rendered the rainshower head virtually unusable. To my dismay, the water supply ceased entirely midway through my shower, causing considerable discomfort and inconvenience. While I understand that the Mirage Hotel is a 3-star establishment and not a luxury property, I believe that certain fundamental amenities, such as a reliable hot water supply and adequate water pressure, should be non-negotiable. I would encourage the hotel management to address these issues promptly to ensure a more comfortable experience for future guests.
We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Mirage Hotel during a busy holiday season. Given the high demand for accommodations in the area, I found the pricing to be quite reasonable, especially considering that the hotel is classified as a 3-star establishment. The Mirage Hotel provided all the basic facilities one would expect from a hotel in its category, making it a suitable choice for travelers seeking a budget-friendly option.
