How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing really, just we weren't fully informed about the cash deposit that had to be given to the hotel upon checking in, so that cause a little bit of delay on our check-in.
The staff were really nice and hospitable. They were all kind, generous, and kept a smiling-positive attitude towards their guests. Really appreciate that they gave small parting gifts to our kids.

Sometimes noise from other rooms during late night specialy when some youth or singles alone doing too much noise
Location is perfect . cleanliness and staff ... starting from front desk how they smile for you and choose better room to concierge with famous supervisor Balla...and his smile and assistance to the House keeper JET and gangden to the breakfast restaurant staff ..all was good

Property is outdated ..it must be renovated. Bath rooms are bad and very old . The room size is ok The staff is great ...Kamal from egypt and also the cleaning person .TV channels are awful....gym is the worst..devices are not genuine and sauna has broken steps.

The interior needs a makeover.Especially the bathrooms needs to be renovated and cleaned deeply as they are still from the time when Ramada Hotel was leading here.The bathroom sink is modern but not good for use as water fells around the sink while washing hands. Sofas are old and used and need to be replaced by new ones.But still staff helped us to get the one sofa exchanged which was totally unusable.
A special thanks to the staff Nasseh- Joan- Althaf - Kamal-Vicky who helped us throughout our stay of three weeks. We are regular customers and the service dominated in Golden Sands as always why we always choose to stay here.It feels like our second home

Very comfortable and good budget hotel. I was being assissted by an Egypian receptionist named Kamal, he was very polite and helpful.

Location is central for airports, so good for overnight stopovers. However, it is on a highway and far from the beaches, so that is not necessarily a place for a family or romantic stay.
Great staff and very good breakfast omelette (rest of breakfast standard fare). Very big room. Shopping Mall just opposite.

Air conditioner was working loudly for me
There is a very nice staff,very efficient and friendly!Very good management 👍Kamal at the reception was very helpful!Even made discount for my next stay.I have got stuck in hard storm situation.Haven't felt difficulties in accommodation. There is a transfer which takes you to the beach and you may get towel at reception, swimming pool area,restaurants and opposite site you may find shopping mall Sahara.Comfortable stay.

1. Hotel entrance parking is horrible location. 2. 2 br apartment when v checked in there was v v bad smell of smoking not clean. TV is 19th century system you cant use your bluetooth to connect. V v old tv set. Beds r not confirtable. AIRCON IS WORKING IN 1 APARTMENT NOT PROPERLY WORKING IN OUR ANOTHER APARTMENTS. 2 FAMILIES 2 APARTMENTS but mo breakfast given in 1740 dhs. Its a real shame and loot. 3. Booking.com website confused child age limit is 17 whereas in hotel its only till 12 else itscoubted as adult. Who to blame now?

Parking seems to be an issue. Or the management of traffic is an issue. They may need more potters to manage the que.

The is no channels in TV. I was disappointed about the insurance when i checked in they took 200Dirham, Many customers was disappointed about the system. The admin should review this to avoid losing customers.
