How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bugs noticed in the room, parking should be fenced , noticed some camels around the vehicles, next morning found some scratches on the truck of my new car.
Hospitality, location, food was good, unlimited water and tea, the entertainment, camel ride was awesome, very helpful staff.

Rooms are very simple and not very confortable. Rooms are not very quiet, you can hear your neighbours.
The camp is nice. Shows (belly-dancing, fire dance, fire show) were also really nice and impressive. Pool was ok, but needed some cleaning. Camel riding in the morning was nice, although relatively short.

The pool could be cleaner
Nice stay in the desert with activities made for the surrounding environment : shows, Quad Bike, Camels, Sandboards, play ground, Pool, Shisha, etc. the staff went over and beyond to accommodate all our needs. Respect to them. Easy access with any kind of cars to the camp.

Rice option at breakfast and more trees around the place would be good. Dinner could be improved but the hummus was delicious.
The activities were amazing! Delbar gave us the ultimate camel ride experience at sunrise. Sunrise was very beautiful! He even took stunning photos and videos, truly awesome! We also enjoyed the sand boarding in the morning and the view at the top was worth the climb. The fire dance performance in the evening was lit and the Tanoura dance. Location was at the middle of the desert, very quiet and serene. A perfect place to just slow down and relax. Room was comfortable enough. We had the nature view and pool in front of our room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a live egg cooking station at breakfast which is a plus.

Basic facilities in washroom missing like, soap handwash nothing kept. Food should be good quality and tasty I think most missing part.
Location is amazing and completely natural. Very Serene area and complete the feel of desert.

I had an issue with my toilet.
The complete ambience and the overall offerings which included Belly Dancing / Tanura Dancing and the best was the Fire Show.

The way they serve food . One of the barbeque guy told me that he can give me only one Kabab . I felt bad . After spending lot of money and booking premium tent , some barbeque serving guy is counting number of kebabs you can take.

The stay could have been improved by having some information about the drive to the camp. The road is extremely bumpy, many pot holes and covered in sand. If you do not have a patrol or Land Rover, it isn’t the easiest road to drive a regular car on. Warning needs to be given to travellers prior to their visit. The itinerary of the stay should be provided to guests before their stay as well, so they know what time to arrive at the camp to make sure they don’t miss anything that they are paying for. Also soap being provided within the bathrooms.
The property location was superb, you were deep into the Ras Al Khaimah desert with nothing around apart from other desert camps. We were upgraded to a premium suite that was well decorated, clean presentation and provided all the necessities. It was extremely quiet the majority of the time, staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable and the whole staff coriander felt carefree. Good range of food options, entertainment in the evening was great and the added range of activities e.g. camel riding were so enjoyable.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were given a free upgrade to the room and for a camp, the cleanliness and inroom amenities exceeded expectations.
