There is a nice rocky beach on site. I'm not sure it's possible to swim in it, but I enjoyed sitting in the garden looking at it.

The room we got was a great size with a beautiful view of the water. Our flight was changed and we were able to extend our stay for a late check out (for a fee). Restaurant was great.

Photos looked great, but the place needs maintenance alot of it. Very few people staying there.

Great breakfast, not a buffet but made to cater. Nice selection too.
Wonderful staff, very helpful. We loved Mimi (mummy cat) and her kittens, which provided lots of entertainment and were so gentle! We got to know most of the staff on a first name basis and were very pleased with the service. It is such a shame you cannot swim in the lagoon, that would have made our stay absolutely perfect. The room was large with a separate bedroom and living room.

Our trip was a bit of a roller coaster , but overall we enjoyed our time there .
Highlights , 83 islands distillery tour was awesome . Mele beach bar great food , awesome staff and location and the fire show on Friday nights fantastic . Kids can swim at the beach , have a feed and watch the shoe -A+ . The markets were awesome as usual .
Low lights . We’ve been going to Vanuatu for over 20 yrs , and our recent trip to the cascades saddened us and emptied our wallets .
The current owners havnt maintained the place and the entry fee is extortion . The roads are next level knarly All 3 of our airport transfers were no shows which was disappointing but not the end of the world .
The people of Vanuatu are why we come back every time . They really are the friendliest people on earth .
Special shout out to Gideon and his family from Havanah eco lodge .
They treated us like family and we had a great time over there .

Port Villa is heaven on earth, I have been there 3 times and will always go back, with all the natural disasters this island goes through people are still so friendly and happy all the time, they live a simple life and always have a reason to smile, i strongly advise visiting the locals as it much better than staying in the resorts, the rivers , lagoons and beachs are surreal and its all so clean, the locals will always say hello and help you with anything you need.
There are plenty of taxis to go around, I would stay away from resorts for food and go into town as the resorts are extremely expensive and the town prices are so much cheaper.

Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained.
Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained. Indeed the waterfront esplanade area was attractive apart from the toilets behind the stage set up for MAC festival which had a $1.00 AU entry fee. Our trip on the coral viewing boat was worthwhile. The Museum was a great disappointment especially given the high entry fee and the seeming lack of curatorial care in presenting historical perspectives such as WW2 events and impacts of colonisation.

The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite.
The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite. There were good restaurants, particularly the Waterfront Bar and Grill. It was easy to get a taxi or bus on the street, but asking the hotel to get you a taxi may result in a long wait for their preferred driver to arrive.
We heard several stories from disappointed people who booked resorts where there was nothing to do and had ferry charges to get back to the mainland.

Exceptional place if you wish to get into the local lifestyle and explore the culture. There are nice places to visit like Mele Beach bar for Fire Dance, Blue Lagoon and Iririki Island for Snorkeling, Kayaking, swimming, casino and a lot more to offer that too at very affordable rates.

Moorings hotel was a highlight on our holiday. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the food and cocktails are great and the facilities lead straight into the lovely swimming pool with ocean view. The buffet breakfast is simple but the home-made pancakes give it that special touch. There is always the option of add ons. Great value for money.
The atmosphere was lively and it's a short walk to the centre and the markets.
We will be returning to Moorings hotel whenever we visit Vanuatu in the future!
The rooms and the hotel grounds are wonderful. Rooms are well-equipped, comfy and spacious. The grounds are delightful, with fabulous ocean views. We weren't lucky with the weather, and it was very windy and quite cool but it was still a very pleasant stay. The food at both restaurants was all great, although very pricey like anywhere in Vanuatu. We enjoyed breakfast and tried something different each day - everything was delicious and fresh.
Best value accommodation in Port Vila. We spent two weeks in Port Vila and stayed in a number of places, this was the the nicest, quietest and friendliest place we stayed by far. Great value for money, full facilities in the sea view lodges including kitchenette, big comfy beds, great views, fan, Aircon and very clean. Our flight home got cancelled and they shuffled things around quickly to get us an extra night stay. Highly recommend.
The Mariner is an exceptional property in Port Vila. While it may not have the swim up bar, it has incredible views, beautiful, friendly staff and a comfortable location to town. Lovely reasonably priced restaurants are a stones throw away. The apartment we stayed in is fabulous for families, in that it has two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen that allowed home cooked meals and a full laundry. The pool was a fun addition.
From the start, this is obviously not a resort, nor a luxury stay. But if you’re looking for the best place in Port Vila to have a relaxed, budget friendly “home base”, this is it. And Beth was simply amazing, answering my too many questions instantly and saving my trip by taking me to the airport on my departure day when the transfer car didn’t show up.
Best stay in Vanuatu after 10 days in different places around the country. very clean and with all the needs. you can cook by your self and the kitchen is fully furniture.
Joy takes care of everything to make your stay as much confortable as possible. Nice small breakfast in the morning! I will come back when going to Port Vila!!
The breakfast buffet was temporarily replaced by an a la carte menu (apparently due to the recent cyclones) however they would provide items not on the menu, if you asked. Were told by the hotel beforehand that hot water was not reliable (again, due to cyclones) but it was fine. Staff were typically excellent.
Being quite new and very modern the room were excellent, nice & clean, good aircon, only issue the family rooms being so far from the facilities.
The staff were extremely friendly, and Renata helped out so much with booking our tours.
The pool area was great with food and drinks easily available.
Accommodation located in a great spot with a seaview just on the edge of the main town, Port Vila. Handy for vars, restaurants, access to the water and shops and not far from the airport. It's just up a hill so helps with the views. Staff members were friendly. Room felt secure.
The location made it close to local restaurants. It was quiet, right on the water with great views. It felt like being in Vanuatu with the locals fishing, kids swimming and people laying right out front of our balcony. It was extremely clean. The wifi was very good.
Location was great--just up the hill from the beach and a short walk into town. It was also just up the hill from Moorings Hotel where I had stayed earlier with a tour group so I knew I could hang out there and use their wifi because Room with a View had zero wifi.
The managers at the hotel were very friendly and were very happy to accommodate us. The location itself was very nice and was great for kayaking. Would be good if you wanted something outside of town and didn’t want to be in Port Vila.
It doesn't look much from the outside, but this is a well maintained hotel with friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast. Centrally located it is the go to place in downtown Port Vila.
Room is okay but with many bugs.
Good location , beach right in front
Breakfast charge is hard to understand.
