A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.
Great place for kids. Can be expensive. So I would recommend only suitable for a short trip. Such as a weekend or few days. My son loves Blackpool as everything on your doorstep. However entry fees can be pricey so bare this in mind and choose wisely when booking events and things to do. The staff are always friendly everywhere I've visited and we go down every Easter

We enjoyed our stay in Blackpool.
We enjoyed our stay in Blackpool. There are plenty of places to eat to suit all tastes. I would recommend the Ardwick pub. It's not far from the Blackpool tower. The beer, larger and stouts are £1.80 a pint.

I took my Granddaughters to the plessure Beach and we had an amazing day. The hotel was on the promenade and we used the trams a lot to get a bout . The team stop was just out side our hotel. The second day we were going up the tower which was cancelled as the lift was not working. I think 2 days in Blackpool is enough time to do what you want

Blackpool has so much to offer.
Blackpool has so much to offer. The Winter Gardens for live shows, The piers for arcade action and big wheel etc. to the Hounds shopping centre, The Yorkshire Fryery for your fish and chips, or head to the promenade for a stroll by the seaside and possibly spot "A Walk on the Wild Side" local live YouTuber who gives all the lowdown on Blackpool live every other day!!
A few miles away you might want to enjoy watching some highly competitive International RC Yacht racing at Fleetwood Model Yacht and power boat club (just a walk along Laidleys Walk). Or maybe take in some more shopping at Cleveleys along with a coffee, cake or meal at one of the many restaurants.
Don't forget to buy your electric tram ride tickets for an unforgettable ride all the way to Cleveleys or fleetwood, then back down as far as StarGate (Not the SG 1 haahaa) although there are sci-fi exhibitions occuring throughout the year at Blackpool.
They have a great Zoo too! And a great Hospital if you end up there, like I did a few month ago!
Hope this helps you all to have fun.
As with any large City area:-
Just beware any random FAKE beggers asking for cash.
Justs say "dont carry cash mate".
The REAL ones never approach or ask you for money".
If you feel inclined, wait until you spot the REAL ones who sit around on steps. They wont bite - not so far!
Highly unlikely that YOU will be bothered, or even see any homeless hanging around in any event.
We have been coming about 3 times a year, for many years now.
The locals are really friendly and accomodating if you need help in finding your way.
The staff on the trams are outstanding - a shout out to Chelsea and her collegues here! :-)
Have fun in Blackpool folks! :-)
The hotel is just far enough out of Blackpool to make you feel that you are still in Blackpool. Tram stops just outside which is excellent if you wanted to walk or travel by tram. Parking on the front of the hotel is perfect. We arrived early and were able to check in early, leave the car and go off and enjoy our short stay. The hosts were both lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. We were upgraded to a seafront room, breakfast was lovely and we could have had whatever we wanted, nothing was too much trouble.
These guys are brilliant for a stay in Blackpool.
4 of us stayed end of Jan for an event North Pier way. Fiver in a taxi to reach from Hotel (My Fault for not checking distance before booking). But don't take this away from the Hotel. Perfect hosts, Friendly, Clean and Tidy rooms. Early check in
Honestly couldn't ask for more and when we inevitably return I will be booking in with the guys again.
Price cheap as the Blackpool chips aswell
Thanks
Joe
Good location in Blackpool north. 2 minute walk from funny girls. We stayed in the superior room. Beautiful room with king size bed and lots of room to move about in room. Fridge in room which was perfect for the hot weather. Bathroom big with good size shower. Owners friendly. nice to stay in a hotel room in Blackpool which didn’t feel cramped. The best bathroom we have had in a room in blackpool. Would definitely stay here again.
The Adonis Hotel Blackpool is in the centre of Blackpool. It is a very low budget hotel, therefore the only extra in the room was tea/coffee making facilties. It is very convenient for an overnight stay as it is close to Winter Gardens and next to Blackpool tower and the seafront. The staff were really lovely and helpful. Contact with the hotel was good and parking is available at the front of the hotel for just £10 per night.
Good location. New staff had started similar time to our stay. They cooked breakfast and it was good. WiFi worked once we got a new details from host as details showing in room did not work. Table/ seats outside hotel, this was good to just sit with a drink and relax away from the packed Blackpool seafront. Price was cheap for 3 day’s so didn’t expect perfection. Staff were all pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.
Rooms were clean and sufficient. Sports bar is great and open to hotel guests all night. The best part is the friendly staff. From the front desk at check in to the late night bar server... Well beyond expectation. Not only did my partner and I leave blackpool after our trip we also left behind friends which we will be going back to see soon. See y'all in December!!
Lisa and Mark were absolutely lovely. They were really kind and welcoming.
The room we stayed in was very clean and tidy. The location was 5 minutes from the seafront and was very quiet.
Mark cooked a fantastic breakfast.
Definitely recommend this hotel for couples and families. We will be going back to Blackpool and will stay here again.
We love the Imperial Hotel. Perfectly situated about quarter of a mile north of the Blackpool Tower facing the sea. The staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. The palm court restaurant is spacious and peaceful the breakfast is the best I've had. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Car parking no problem.
John and Heather Robertson.
The house is amazingly clean modern and has a lovely location and it's a 5 minute drive to Blackpool seafront. We also ordered a lovely Chinese takeaway which was delivered fast. The garden area of the property is lovely for sitting outside and is stunning and modern.
I have been coming to Blackpool for the dancing for years always staying at the Imperial and I always will. I love the Imperial and will be loyal to this hotel. Whenever I am in Blackpool I will be staying in the Imperial! Amazing staff looking after me. Thank you !
Absolutely everything the hotel was spotless the breakfast was great also it was nice and quiet which for blackpool is very rare there is nothing I can fault at all the hotel was fantastic and Simon was amazing and made us feel right at home.
Everything was amazing the beds and breakfast etc.
I felt like I was at home and apart of the family. They are a lovely couple and so down to earth. To be honest I didn't want to go home.
In my opinion this is the best hotel is blackpool.
Calm and quiet area of Blackpool to stay with a tram stop just over the road from the hotel giving easy access to get up and down the length of the seafront. Also excellent service from Jackie the manager who was very helpful.
Everything best hotel in Blackpool. We won't go anywhere else. Staff brilliant breakfast brilliant. Evening meal lovely. Brilliant entertainment. Especially the DJ in Saturday night. One funny guy is Joe the dj
The breakfast was absolutely delicious , the room was very spacious and well equipped, the hotel is in a quiet area of Blackpool with ample road parking , the family running this hotel are wonderful hosts.
The hotel was in an ideal location on the Blackpool seafront. Close to all the attractions Blackpool has to offer. The room was tiny, but comfortable. Breakfast was nice, as was the service from the staff.
Very friendly place and for the price was exactly what I was looking for. Close to the seafront and convenient for the pleasure beach. Would stay there again if visiting Blackpool.
The guy who welcomed me into the hotel was very pleasant and welcoming and showed me to our room.
The best thing about it was the location on the sea front with parking.
