The welcome was great, we arrived early but left the car on the driveway to come back later. The room was very nice and the dinner excellent. Very comfortable and all staff friendly and welcoming.

Some good bars on the main drag near the port, especially for the younger crowd. Plenty of cafes/restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Beaches are good, and some decent chiri's.
Bus service is hourly in each direction. In summer there's a carnival which is good for families.
Not too many taxis circulating but most restaurants/bars will order one for you.
As you head north at Puerto Rey there are more options.
Bus nr 2 takes max 5 mins to get there or walk for 20 mins. Enjoy!

Love the restaurants (extremely good value for the quality of food - Popeyes great for drinks and tapas and Tierra Y Mar for lunch and dinner. Local beaches are fab.
There is a bus to Mojacar old town (15mins away) which is definitely worth a visit in the evening time. Beautiful terrace restaurants (Rincon Del Zahori and Aires Del Sur are a must) and gorgeous shops and cafes. Old cobbled streets, a little church and a museum. Very romantic with breathtaking views of the whole area.
Would recommend a boat journey with Garrucha Sports which you will find down at the port. Ask for Marie Louisa or Alan and they will help you out.

Family-friendly destination, very large sea-front with sandy beaches and amenities near the harbor and Garrucha's downtown. Can get too hot in July and August, air-conditioning is a must to enjoy your stay!

Garrucha is surrounded by an intensive agricultural...
Garrucha is surrounded by an intensive agricultural landscape with vast acres of polytunnels. So not attractive scenery. The town looks as though it was developed in the 70's/80's as there is no 'old' quarter. There is nothing much to do if the weather is poor. The beaches are nice, and there is a long promenade. However there are no Piazzas or interesting shops to browse around. Garrucha prawns are delicious, but we had to send razor clams back in one restaurant as they were gritty, muddy and unwashed. We abandoned our stay after 3 days and went somewhere nicer.
Fabulous apartment with a large balcony directly overlooking the sea. Less than five minute stroll to the beautiful beach which had two restaurants on either end. The apartment is like a home away from home, beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need for your stay. All five of us loved the apartment & the location. Antonio was so helpful & so easy to deal with - Sent us lots of recommendations for things to do & see nearby. We all fell in love with Garrucha & will hopefully get back soon
The wonderful staff, so friendly and always available to make sure we were having a lovely time x
It was my birthday and I could not have wished for a better place to stay and relax in the most beautiful garden and pool to have a swim.
I cannot be leave the lovely breakfast without no flies or getting bitten by anything.
A fantastic hotel and garden and staff.
10 out of 10 from start to finish. Thank you.
A small Hotel with only few rooms in walking distance to the centre and the beach. The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. For breakfast it had a good continental breakfast. The food could be taken to the tables outside in the backyard by the swimming pool. The optional, dinner was excellent and the wine selection impressive.
I had a lovely room with a courtyard terrace which I think was very lucky if it was the last one! the hotel and rooms are decorated in a modern but shabby chic/industrial influence way which I like. it feels clean and well thought out. they let me check in a little early so I had time to go kite surfing.
The location is excellent. Near the beautiful beach bars and restaurants. Garrucha ins a lovely town and we find the people warm and welcoming. The seafood and fish is fresh and inexpensive .All in all a great place anthis small apartment ideal for us.
Very friendly staff, a warm welcome and also very pet friendly. Location was perfect for us, near the beach, near Garrucha and enough parking space. Room is spacious and the balcony had sea view. I would certainly recommend this place.
Comfortable bed, view of the sea! The hotel restaurant has one of the best food we tried in Spain so far! Melanie and her team were very friendly and welcoming!
