Set within the site of a former outdoor movie theatre, YHA Alice Springs offers air-conditioned backpacker accommodation in the heart of the town centre. The location was perfect, right in the city and a short walk to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and other shops. The amenities at YHA was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful with travel recommendations.

Really amazing hostel with a great manager Max, who makes you feel very welcome and comfortable! The hostel itself is right next to the city center but just these 3 minutes walking away, so you can enjoy a silent sleep. The pool and whole hostel atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Hawaii or some exotic place, I had a truly fabulous time there!! :)

Due to extreme staff shortages, our recpetion is unattended majority of the time. We have a fully automated 24 hour self check-in kiosk system. It was as we remembered from 23 years ago.
