The room was quite large, with high ceilings. The whole place is so totally absurd and hideous that it would actually be a lot of fun were it not for the dirt and discomfort. Bottled water was available for sale at the front desk (do not drink tap water under any circumstances). The staff tried to be helpful.

Great guesthouse/homestay. The host family is super kind and welcoming, even let me come in early when I got off the night train.
