Half Moon Bay is a small community with loads of weekend visitors. Hence, nutty traffic on the weekends. Restaurant options were a mixed bag - found a great Italian place (Pasta Moon) and a horrible Indian place (India Beach).

Lovely hotel & location, but certain services and facilities are curtailed at different times of the year..,.eg the dining room was closed during our stay, as was the bar and the spa. This meant no breakfast was available, and all meals/drinks needed to be taken outside of the hotel.

We stayed in Half Moon Bay to stay out of the SF/Silicon Valley crazy but many of our activities were over on the east side of the peninsula. The seafood was fantastic (Sam's Chowder House) and the beaches and road side farms were as well.

Walked from Harbor Inn to the restaurants and moorings in the harbor across the street. Beautiful harbor, lots of walking opportunities, and a lot of choices to places to eat. Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
Half moon bay is a great weekend visit. While there is not much to do late at night, there is plenty to do during the day and evening. We spend the day/night visiting shops, going wine tasting, walking on the beach, and going out to eat. Although we sometimes like to stay out late, it was nice to come back a little early and relax back where we were staying. Everyone in town is very friendly!JohnUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

Alot of good eating places, Cameron's and the barn walking distance from quality inn. Another of places to walk along the beaches. Nice shops in the little town. My husband and I go there about every three months and stay three days.

Heated tile floors, jetted tub, I was in heaven! From peaceful walks on the beach, to a fun bike ride with the fam (hotel even supplies bikes to use), it is the PERFECT getaway to regroup, As long as the outside firepit is not used below your balcony, I have nothing but praise for this picturesque hotel!
