The roads are bad inside the city, but amazing outside of it. The Turda Salt Mine was a big disappointment; very crowded and poorly organized.
We ordered takeout from CSA BRAVIA, the food was spoiled.

Turda Salt Mine is a great experience for families seeking both adventure and health benefits. As parents, we were initially drawn to the mine's history, but what amazed us was how much our child benefited from the unique environment. The salt-infused air worked well on their respiratory health, creating an unexpectedly positive impact that we hadn't anticipated.
By the way, if you are coming for a long time (10 – 14 days) do not forget to buy a season ticket [abonament] for it will save you money and will let to skip the long lines at the entrance.
Exploring the mine was like entering a magical underground world. The spacious chambers and the awe-inspiring underground lake kept our child's curiosity piqued throughout the visit. The mine's history came to life through informative displays, making it an educational experience as well.
What made our visit even more special were the various activities tailored to families.
We were impressed by the Turda Salt Mine's commitment to maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for visitors. The well-maintained facilities, clear signage, and friendly staff made our visit stress-free and enjoyable. The mine's unique combination of history, adventure, and health benefits truly set it apart.
As parents, witnessing the positive effects the salt mine had on our child's health was a true blessing. We left Turda not only with cherished memories but also with a sense of gratitude for the health benefits our family experienced. Turda and its salt mine hold a special place in our hearts, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to families seeking a memorable and health-enhancing getaway.

Turda is a lovely town, although currently undergoing major construction road works so difficult to navigate around in a car.
Cheile Turzii and Salina Turda are must do highlights of the area, both beautiful and definitely worth visiting.
If you only do hike in the canyon, you can manage to do both in one day.
The salt mine is really impressive.
Staff in Turda restaurants is very nice, not much English speaking but trying hard, even if they need to use Google translator.
Local food is delicious.

Turda is a small interesting city to visit.
Turda is a small interesting city to visit. Anyhow the Turda Salt Mine is today a genuine history museum of Salt exploitation. The excellent condition of the mining compartments and the equipment used for salt transportation ,as well as the care with which the mine was prepared for touristic use, have turned it into a place of mingled history and legend. The ever higher number of tourists coming here from most various parts of the world to visit the mine are a confirmation of its historical and touristic value.
The Salt Mine is certainly the most famous destination for tourists visiting the town of Turda.
I was a lovely stay in the hills above Turda. It's a big wouden house with four appartments next to the mainhouse. The room and bathroom are not very big but with the seats outside and de lovely garden (free frute!) with enough places to sit (and cook!) it was very enjoyable. It was a warm welcome when I arrived and the possibility of ordering my diner (brought to the site) was great. Also was the breakfast wich is in the owners house. Salina Turda is around the corner, 2 minutes by car or even walking distance.
It’s a great location, very close to the entry in the Turda Salt mine and close to the vineyards. Close to a bus stop. The fact that the property is a mix with a restaurant, bungalows and horse stables with a nice pool and sauna.
We were staying in the Sol apartment- which communicates directly to the stables - you can actually se the horses from the window and you can walk out on a small balcony within the stables! The fact that the rooms and bungalows are air conditioned.
I will begin by saying that I was thankful that the proprietors called me a taxi to the bus stop to Cluj. I wish they told me that the bus wouldn't actually bring me to the airport, but rather 30 minutes from the airport. But I acknowledge that they are running a penzion, not a travel agency. It is an interesting property, with some fruit trees, dogs, cats, and a rooster that begins crowing at 3am. The breakfast was good; I especially enjoyed the garden-fresh tomatoes.
It's a perfect location, close to Turda attractions and very close to transit way to Bucharest/Cluj but on a side, in a very quiet street. The landlord was very helpful and hospital. We arrived very late - round 23.00 - he offered us drinks and cooked for us very delicious dinner (because restaurants were closed). The room was clean and comfortable. I can definitely recommend it!
The owners are the nicest people I ever met during any holiday, they can cook food if you ask and meals were very nice.Room was very comfortable, everything was high quality.Loved bar and swimming pool area.Location is close to Cluj Napoca but in quite beautiful village were you can hike, bike ride or enjoy walk.Thank you for great holiday 😊
The venue is located very nice on top of a hill with a great view above wineyards. It is near Turda Salin and quite close to Turda Gorges.
The host is really friendly, offered us wine and liquor made in his wineyard.
There is a pool, a football field, a trampoline and toys for children, so you definitely won't get bored here.
This is a very nice property in walking distance to the center of Turda. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and the staff was very kind and accommodating.
Kids enjoyed the grassy area and swing set to play on outside and the ping pong table inside.
Anca and Florin are exceptional hosts! It's a lovely apartment with plenty of little surprises. Good location, for visiting the "Salina Turda" (fantastic) or the "Fabrica de stiinta" and not far from Cluj. We had a great time and would love to come again.
A visit to Salina Turda is an absolute must when in this region of Romania. Casa Sorriso is just a 200m walk from the ‘old mine entrance’ and the mine experience is unforgettable. Casa Sorriso is a new property and perfect for visiting this attraction.
Perfectly situated B&B in smack center Turda. Easy place to stay with 2 boys ages 6 and 7. No problem to charge our EV. Charger was placed on the parking lot of the establishment (activated by a chip provided at the front desk). Close to Salina Turda.
Everything is new and sparkling clean, with free parking in the yard. Close to the Turda Salina. Grocery stores and restaurants are close by. The hosts are very kind and helpful. It was a delightful stay at AMA house
Great place to stay if you are visiting Turda.
The place was great: it had a kitchen full of appliances and the bedroom was very comfy. We even had a balcony!
The proprietary was also very friendly and welcoming!
Great location for visiting Turda Salt mine - only 5 mins drive away. The accommodation was in a lovely location on a vineyard with lots of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the views over Turda.
Amazing. Clean, spacious and you have everything you need. Very kind hostess. The accommodation is 300m from Salina Turda. Secure parking. Special recommendation for people with motorcycle.
Clean and cosy room. Location very close to Salina Turda. Garden is a plus, a relaxing place for both adults and kids (playground). The host is very kind and helpful.
