Sailing, Golf and Sun in Algarve
A luxury, purpose-built resort along the Algarve region coastline offering a variety of accommodation ranging from 5-star hotels to villas and apartments, Vilamoura is the largest complex of its type in Europe. It is conveniently located, 16 km from Albufeira and 25 km from Faro Airport.

Although the area was developed from scratch by the Porto banker Cupertino de Miranda in 1974, its origins date back to Roman times. The Cerro da Vila Museum tells the story of the ancient fishing town, and displays the ruins of the Roman baths from the 1st century.

Beautiful place, fantastic food.
Beautiful place, fantastic food. Lots of trips you are able to book when you're there like parasailing, fishing, jet skiing, dolphin watching, visit the caves, there's a waterpark nearby, beaches are beautiful and clean. It was perfect for a family holiday and we had great weather while we were there.

Vilamoura is a nice resort, we had not been there before, most activity at night is centred at the marina, where there are loads of restuarants and bars to suit everyone. Beach was lovely I would go back again, but definitley not to the apartment we stayed in , the apartment itself was fine but not the location or the very old run down building it was in. I would not recommend it to anyone .

Great location with fantastic restaurants around the Marina and the streets behind. Easy to walk everywhere, plenty of shops and supermarkets in addition to local businesses. We loved the atmosphere and the warm welcome in bars and restaurants. Weather was constantly warm and sunny, average 26 degrees for 1st 2 weeks in October. I have stayed in Vilamoura many times and simply love the place and its vibrancy, great restaurants and bars. I would personally recommend one bar especially to visit and that is Als Bar a very high standard and great drinks with stunning bar area with a superb host namely Al. This bar is just off the Marina behind the road where the taxi rank is situated in a square with 4 restaurants in the vicinity.

The bedrooms are absolutely stunning, we had a deluxe bedroom, which was very spacious, luxurious furniture, fabulous bed and well equipped mini bar. breakfast at the property was amazing. Champagne breakfast was on the menu and anything that you could think of you could have. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The spa was lovely as was the outdoor swimming pool. loved that the hotel offered a free minibus shuttle down to the marina and we use this a few times .

I was travelling with a very elderly relative and everyone was very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a 'marina' view which meant it was a little noisy at night (but that's hardly the hotel's fault). Would book sea view next time. Lovely range of toiletries and very fluffy bathrobe and slippers. Breakfast was perfect, except for the coffee I'm afraid. Sunbeds were plentiful and prices were as expected for a 5*.

Very helpful before we arrived, when we arrived and during our time in the apartment and area. Felt very secure and safe. Used the associated News restaurant as well, which was also very good, great service and excellent food. Vilamoura Marina is a top area with lots of lovely restaurants and great bars. The apartment also had access to a lovely private swimming pool and garden area which overlooked the marina.

We stayed at the apartment with 2 bedrooms and a terrace and it was fenomenal. The staff is just so professional and at the same time so kind you feel at home. Although the hotel was almost full , you feel like you are almost alone. Everything is so calm and the atmosphere is just amazing. The restaurant at the beach has excellent food. Don't miss it. Walking distance to the beach this is the perfect spot to go. They have a 5 star service in a 4 star hotel.

Fantastic for friends as there is lots of space. The pool area is also great and was very quiet during our stay. There is a hotel transfer into the marina if needed and Uber is only 5/6€. The piazza had great food and service and the hotel across the way also had a lovely restaurant.
