Orewa is easy to find and has excellent choice for food - the whole area is well laid out and in a wonderful setting of mature trees, parks, walkways, convenient access to beach and parking. The shops are interesting and locals friendly. Just feels like a peaceful easy place to be.

A friendly small town but packed full of different cafes and restaurants.
I know it can get very busy during the peak summer months but late summer seems to be a good time to visit. Busy but not crowded.

The beach was within walking distance and it was a nice sandy very clean beach. There was plenty of free parking for people travelling or those living further away.
You have everything you need all in walking distance, so no need for a car if you are staying locally.
There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes.
Most properties had a sea view, and if you are staying in one of the hotels you will see an amazing sunset.

Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby.
Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby. Absolutely a place to stay for any age. Now there's lots of pavement dining and great restaurants and bars. The beach is stunning. Lots of locals and visitors walk up and down the beach. Great for dog-walking, but be aware of when you keep your dog on a lead.
We were so pleased! The condo was spacious and perfect for my family of three...we all had our own rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The full kitchen was perfect for cooking at home. It's located just across from Orewa beach and a block from the restaurants and grocery stores. There were boogie boards, washer/dryer, wifi...really it had everything and it is perfect for a larger family or even two families as it has two living room areas with large TV. We were just so happy with the accommodations and hope to stay again!

Basic budget accommodation. Spacious, very clean , comfortable and convenient for our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms clean with ample soft towels and soap and shampoo.
Dereck and Katrina were absolutely amazing hosts.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Always super helpful , friendly and welcoming.
Keep an eye out for Marley and give her my love x
The unit was lovely with everything you need for a short stay. I was extremely impressed with how clean it was. The host was lovely and even brought us some bug spray, fresh milk in fridge and teas and coffees. It is so conveniently situated 2 mins away from main Orewa beach and multiple restaurants and cafes as well as the New World. Would recommend to anyone!!
I loved the location, privacy, security in parking with undercover, the outdoor area was lovely for me to play with my doggie, who so loved our stay. Close to everything Orewa has to offer by a very short walk. Thank you for letting us stay, I only wish we could have stayed longer. This property had so much more than I expected.. very homely.
Absolutely beautiful stay! The home was exceptional, everything we needed and finished to a high standard. Will describe our stay as luxury!
Thank you so much! Would highly recommend.
Only a short walk to beaches and drive to Orewa township.
This is an older motel but renovated to a very high standard. The beach is a short walk through a park.
Downtown Auckland is a 38 minute drive (not rush hour)
Why pay Auckland accommodation rates when you can stay in beautiful Orewa.
Great place to stay when travelling from Far North to Akld where we caught. long haul flight. We always enjoy staying at the Beachcomber which is conveniently located for beach walks and restaurants, cafes in central Orewa.
The property offered both morning and afternoon outdoor seating areas. Although it was on the main highway in Orewa, it was almost completely soundproof. It was only a two-minute walk around the corner to the beach.
We live in Auckland, yet this still felt like an overseas holiday. It was so relaxing and everything was so close.
Staff were friendly, apartment was immaculate.
Will definitely be coming back.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely spa bath and kitchenette. Location near to the beach was great. We enjoyed the use of the free wi-fi as well as Sparksport & Netflix.
The staff are friendly and helpful, always welcoming and pleasant. We stay here each month when in Orewa and wouldn't change it. This place is absolutely a brilliant place to stay.
